Fun for all sizes.

This was an all inclusive type trip with different levels of driver/rigs. We took our time but still made pretty quick work out of this "scenic" creek loop in a beautiful historic AZ area.

TURTLE CREEK

Day after Christmas cold weather creek cruising with the HCR crew. Wet rock had the guys slipping and shafts a snapping. Our northern day was shortened to just one trail as our spare parts supply became scarce.

BRUTAL CANYON

Part Deux in Cottonwood canyon taming with two contestants down as the next gauntlet is set. More obstacles, less in between, more tools, longer stories, and marginally less nudity.

SMASHER CANYON

Part One of a great weekend away from everything but rocks, stars, and good camp-fire company. This trail was a undercut waterfall stack-up. Minor breakage was a pleasant surprise as the 10 vehicle show continued on for the better part of the day.

TURKEY CREEK

Choose your own adventure for lockers and open alike. We had five out for this half day adventure. Find the trail or find the rocks- just don't forget your code word and extra parts if they fight back. Desert scenery and old mines dot the landscape along the way.

Early risin' waterfall climbin'- A Table Mesa short to appease the rock gods and the waiting wives' patience. Throw in a hive of angry bees and you've got some Grade 8 bolt shearing fun.

SPARE TIRE CANYON

Nothing beats an eleven Jeep Caravan snaking through the green Arizona desert. Add some hill climbs, some narrow canyon walls,  and finish it all off with lunch with your feet in  the river and you'll have the very definition of what Saturdays should be.

AXLE ALLEY

When is a waterfall too big? The Higher Ground extreme crew set out to find out if AA would claim another Jeep back flop. We camped under the moon and then hit the trail in the morning. One casualty had this trail living at least up to its name.
