As long as it runs, Bob can drive it anywhere. Bad steering and all.

Short list is getting longer. It had some starting issues at the solenoid. Was thinging the solenoid was going bad. Nope just some crusty wires going to it.
Filling it with gas is worse than the old black Jeep. It runs out all over the place and you cant fill it more than a trickle or you get spashback...

The short list:
Radiator, waterpump, belts and hoses
Fuel line (under hood) and filler hose to gas tank
Electrical under the hood.- clean up and replace the crusty stuff.
Rear brakes
Steering… like all of it
Int lights- There are none
Rear window- Get it back on the track
Remove the clutch hard lines
Add heat shield to roof and replace the headliner.

Jeep ran great till it didn't.

The lights worked great and it had a great old school feel to it.

What is still needs after spending a few days in the dirt:
Lift: this Jeep needs a 3-4" lift and some 35's. I was hitting every rock out there. My front fenders are smashed and will get a trim.

Axle: Needs more gearing and a locker for the front.

Eng: Needs a little more work to get it where it needs to be. Overall I am happy with how it ran.

Gas tank: need a fuel cell or the original tank put back in. It leaks any time you try and fill it.

Int: it needs some music and better window tint

Picked up new MM so the eng doesn't move and cut another lower hose.
#32
you got a pretty good mod list. what lift are you planning to put on your ride?
#33
New rad is in. Now it doesn't like to start... It feels like a fuel issue. Going to pick up a new fuel filter and see if that helps.

Been pricing out a few other things for the Con trip.
3" rough country $335 from Amazon
Lock Right for the 44 $280
Fuel cell $300+ based on size and parts ordered.

Need to see if there are rock sliders to buy.

Rubicon is only 4 months out

You're buying a rubicon in 4 months?

What is our Rubicon date? I need to put it in the Calendar.

Thanks, Bob... for both being nice and answering my question. I'll need to balance this against freshman orientation, but I believe that will be happening June, so this is still in the "possible" category.

To be honest I thought you were pulling a Chris. Help pick the date and then ask when it was. :)

Replaced the fuel filter and checked the lines. Nothing seemed to be blocked. Everything was fine at KOH. It was fine when I got home. I let it sit for two weeks and now it doesn't want to start unless I dump a bunch of starter fluid down it.

Not smelling fuel when I pump it so that makes me think its a carb issue.

Runs fine once its running.

Cheap lift is on its way...
