Also, Bob, I am licensed on my buggy, but not street legal (no windshield, front turn signals, etc...). I'm all for leisurely up and mad dash back. Sounds like a super fun return trip to me. Maybe split the group and have a drive around and a drive back down group that meets back up at the drop off place.

Also, on a semi-related note: Sale of my company is now entering a more formal stage (all good) after the last two days of meetings in Minneapolis. I will more than likely have a KOV conflict due to a massive planning session the week of Aug 5th with my new bosses, so the Con is looking more and more like the full on first option. I will be remaining in Phoenix for sure.

Awesome! I was talking with some guys on P4x4 and they aren't saying NOT to run the full thing in a full size truck... they are just saying "first dibs on the vid" and other things that make me think I may want to go out the way I came in.
Im still looking into it and open to about anything (trail/trip related...)

The issue is still how do we get them loaded up at the end? Mad dash back over the trail to loon lake? Its going to be 50/50 since we drive by the casino on the way.

After the map comes in I think we need to do a burger night and talk about places to camp what people want to see/do...

I was thinking of Alan and possible Lenny for unlicensed vehicles.

In for burger night to plan.

That stinks. Let me know if you need anything.

You could probably make decent money traveling around and prepping our rigs for the rubicon. Just saying. :)

Lol working for Chris right now, helping him with his stuff as well. I'm also up for a burger night to plan/talk. Haven't seen you guys in a while.

cool! that will at least be fun while your looking for permanent work. Or till you guys have your westside fab shop open full time.

let me know when my bumpstop/u-bolt plates are cut out.
#107
The westside fab/machine shop is open full tilt. Picking up a big lathe this next week and got a big cnc lathe 2weeks ago. Your plates are cut, what size ubolts do you have? 1/2" or 9/16"?. Honestly im hoping to keep Daniel part time for now and soon permanent fulltime. The shop is heading more towards commercial/ industrial fab/machining. Been doing a descent amount of hydraulic cylinder repair and custom machining

I was just told by two different people that there is no way my truck is making it up Cadillac Hill. Not sure if I should do "challenge accepted" or listen to them.

So when are most you you dirty animals free to meet up and grab a burger and talk about the con?

http://greasewoodflat.net/

Burger place I have been wanting to try.

Im good most nights

Oh yeah... You dont need to be going to the con to eat a tasty burger
#112
Any night except for tomorrow. ...and I have church sat night, but could do lunch on the weekends.
#113
sun night is usually open
#114
Monday nights or Wednesday nights or Friday nights or Saturday nights work best. I might be able to do a Sunday if need be

EDIT** In light of where that burger place is, I will make my new availability nights to weekend nights or weekend lunches...
#115
Also, on another note... who all has an open seat for the trip? I don't think I"ll be able to afford driving my truck this time around due to the job loss and such. More then anything though I want to go and hangout with everyone, I"ll be the Rubicon ninja or something lol

Also, if someone is wanting their rig towed and doesn't have a way to make that happen, I can pull your rig up with my truck/trailer if you pay the gas.. just throwing it out there.
#116
I'm sure I'll have a seat. We can make room in a rig and we can just pass you around. ;)
#117
I'm pretty sure I have an open seat. It's yours if you want it. I think Chris is with Jimmy on this one.

Also, if I'm in town, any night is good for me... I just need a couple of days warning to schedule around it.
#118
Would you guys be good with Sat the 29th for lunch?
#119
Yes for me.
#120
I'm good with that.
