Mojave Road - Oct 3-6
#101
Jimmy will 6pm at the Chevron/Carefree highway give you enough time that you don't feel crazy rushed?
#102
Nate is out of school at 3. Meeting at 6 is fine with me, but Lenny and I will probably catch the caravan at carefree highway and lake pleasant parkway like we've done before.

I have Zac, that you guys met at my house, and his boy tagging along.

So is Lenny driving his own?
#104
Yes. He's bringing the tundra.
#105
Good to know there is someone that can handle towing me home :)
#106
That's fine. I call dibs on Avis since he's used to dragging my jeep around anyway. Might as well give the shiny jeep a chance too.

Sorry based on Moab I just assumed your jeep was going to make it to the start of the trail and then we were going to have to add it to all the pics when we got home...
#108
Technically the dirty jeep made it through the entire first trail. Not just to the trail. But Michael had pics of the jeep lurking on other trails so it must have been there too. :))

Oh man I already forgot those:

Ok. Just let me know if you need a little more time.

Alan, what are you driving?
#114
Andrew's green TJ I took on the CK run last year.

Still to do:

Change oil and add the thick nasty stuff.
Change front diff and make sure that locker and shafts look good.
Pull brakes and fix the stupid hardware again
Get the trans serviced.

Cant wait for this trip!
#116
Holy crap its trip week!!!

See you guys soon!
#117
I think I'm ready. I'm going to replace the tensioner pulley this week. The rest of the list is done.

Steering box replaced
Oil changed
New taillights installed so I have brake lights and running lights again
New tires rub a bit. I can trim on the trail as needed

Mojave Road - Open. 4-wheel drive recommended.

One section of the Mojave Road crossing the Piute Range is badly eroded. Clearance is narrow.
Soda Lake currently impassible due to recent and predicted rains.

I need to see what the road around it is. I hope we can still get to the travelers monument.
