Mojave Road - Oct 3-6
#1
There are a few places that have been on my list way too long. The rubicon is one (some day when we have more than two rigs) and the Mojave Trail is another.

I am looking to put together a small group of people that want to make the trip. It will be 2 night of camping and 3 days of dirt roads. You will need to pack food, wood, ect... as there is no help around for miles.

I was thinking Oct but I can move it around if you have something going. Chris dont even ask... :)

Anyone want to go?

EDIT*****

Date Oct 3rd After work. Drive home Oct 6th

We will leave Phx after work on Friday and make the drive to Laughlin and get a cheap room for the night.
Start the trail on Sat Oct 4th and camp out Sat and Sun Night. Finish the trail on Monday the 6th and drive home.

About 4 hours to Laughlin and about 6 hours home.
Will need food, drinks, camping gear... you know the drill.

130 miles in 3 days? We walkin' or something? LOL. Just kidding.

Let's get real about dates. I know we talked a bit in Moab, but I'm interested. I have a race early October and I don't know November Marathon dates, but I am definitely interested. Sounds like a blast!

Post up what dated work (or dont work if thats faster) and we can see what people are able to do. Im not doing an elk hunt so I think I have most of Oct free.
#5
Dates don't matter to me, as soon as we have some down I'll request it off
#6
Oct should be fine with me.

Does that stand for No Offroad Vehicle, Chris? :-)

I wanna go just for the lava tube... lol that's pretty dang cool. Also need to make sure to bring a HG sticker for the "mailbox"

You guys thinking spending a week out there? Or what? Doing some reading it can be done in 2-3 days, but depending on how many side trips/sights you want to see you could spend 4-6 days out there. OR, anything else on the way home from that we would want to stop and see/do?

Maybe we can swing by JV on the way home and run Back Door or something... :)

Was thinking drive out the day before and camp. But if people cant do that then we could drive out day of. I think 3 days on trail is good this go round
#12
I'm probably going to take an entire week off no matter what we do. So, I"m game with whatever.
#13
just thinking temp wise, oct can still be in the 90's. Thought nov might be cooler

I am interested but I would have my stock height Xterra. If this is a boat anchor for the group you can ignore me like you are ignoring Chris.

LOL. After the kid on the CK run I must ask EVERYONE!
You should be good to go. Its not a hard road and I dont plan on making it a race. Sorry Mr. 4511, NORA 1000, west coast champ, top ten KOH, Johnson.

If you make it race I will do everything to win. Just need a ride home and a new DD. Lol. I am competitive like that.
