I passed the Level 3 inspection.
Inspection Cop: One question. What are those straps on the new suspension for?
Me: limiting strap in case I want to take it on some sweet jumps.
Cop: Awesome. You passed. Go have fun
He also commented on how nice the new suspension looked and was impressed when I answered it was just Geoff and I that did the quick frame swap.
I was so happy I drove straight over to emissions, got in line and then wondered if it was even the every other year time to even be there. I checked some paperwork and found I did not. But it was too late because someone was behind me so I just enjoyed the good weather and when I got up to the guy I said, "I changed my mind. This was fun though, see you next year," and drove off.
Today I got it reregistred as salvage restore and the lady (dressed as Clark Kent) commented that my photo was no longer visible on my license. I said I'd get a new one if I didn't have to wait so she got me in for a photo and they printed a new license as I finished up with the registration paperwork. So now, I'm officially beardly legal.
How does it drive? Still like a truck. No swaybars and I like. Just enough lean going through corners, more stable with the 3" width addition. We got the front raised up a bit last night and we even had time to replace the shot rear leaf frame hanger bushing and redrill my frame for my skid LOR had made me last year.
Itching to take it on some actual bumps besides the speed bumps I have't been slowing down for now.
Thanks for all the support and the help from Geoff and Chris
