2013 AR source?
#41
I don't think they will stay in stock long. Look at J&G sales. 20mins and GONE, once it hits facebook.

Aluminum is heavier and more expensive, but stronger. Polymer is cheaper and lighter, but not designed to be a battle rifle. Then again, Chris, YOU'RE not building a battle rifle. You're building a general purpose lightweight shooter for less than 100 yards. If the stats have changed, then buy the aluminum one. Call them and have them change your order.

Palmetto has some really good package deals. You'll get the LPK, stock, stock tube, buffer, and spring.. everything you need to put a stripped lower together. Also, you can choose traditional M4 or go fancy with the assortment of Magpul stocks. Availability fluctuates, but this is what they have now.

I'm a BIG fan of their magpul MOE kit. Light and economical. Well worth the $179 pricetag for everything.

That's actually a pretty fair price.

Still, you will need a stock, buffer tube, spring and buffer. Otherwise, you'll end up with loose pins and springs until you get them.

Pair up with a buddy and buy 2 kits, with coupon, it ends up being free shipping. Backordered til June, though.

Bob's find is still better, though. Instant Gratification. I purchased 2 of them with $5.00 flat shipping via USPS. Woot! Support the post office!

Buffer Spring
Buffer

DS Arms is proving to be a reliable backorder source. Their prices have gone up a bit, but not nearly as crazy as other sites. They "actually" answer their phones. I just called them to add items to my backorder. www.dsarms.com

I called and confirmed today. They are 4-months backordered on uppers, bolt carrier groups, and firearms. If you are looking for parts and are not saved up for an immediate purchase, consider backordering with these folks. They won't charge your card until the order is pulled and shipped.

If you have to wait for parts to "build" an AR, you may consider just buying one of their completed rifles. $788 + shipping is not a bad price.

Palmetto State Armory has been amazing. They are FAST on their email notifications. Shipping takes a 2 weeks, but not bad. The best part is they seem to be getting a LOT of stuff in stock and on a regular basis. If you are building a custom rifle, get on their email list. http://palmettostatearmory.com/

MidwayUSA is also pretty good on their email notifications. They ship FAST, too. The only thing that bugs me is they are slow in getting in product. When it is in, they sell out FAST. You are competing against a larger custom base with MidwayUSA. http://www.midwayusa.com/

Well I don't have any for the one I'm building. Not that it'll be ready to shoot anytime soon anyways, but still
