Hope everyone is doing well in the first few days. Lots of vegtables and as much exercise as you can get in.

If anyone wants to do a little hike or park walk Friday evening (cooler) let me know. Exercise is always more fun with some company. I will be at the park on 59th ave & Thunderbird... (down in the wash) walking Saturday morning from 8am to 11am while my son is at football practice. You are all welcome to join me. :))

:cool)

Week 1 is done. How did everone do?

Marcia and my goal for weight loss was twofold. We are fat because we eat out too much and we spend way too much money because we eat out too much. Neither of us have eaten out since last Saturday and both of us dropped almost 10 pounds in the first week. My goal for week 1 was to watch the food intake and week 2 goal is to start an exercise routine.

Nice job both of you.
Paula and I have our own little contest going and I dropped about 6lbs!!

Great job guys! What a great week!!:P
#74
Wow! Great job for 1 week.

I noticed what looked like a lot of starvation tactics when you all listed what you ate. Don't do that. Think Quality and try for Protein/Fat/Carb EVERY meal and snack. In other words, if you have cherios, eat some CANADIAN Bacon too (Yum!) The more energy you give your body, the more exercise you can perform. Remember, eat God's food if you can.

Here's a formula if you want to count calories. To MAINTAIN your weight, you need 200+Your Weight X 8 + What You Expend in Exercise calories. Eat 500 less than that everyday and you'll lose a pound a week.

Do the math.

You guys are doing great!

Had my first slip last night...

I over ate. I made dinner and made sure to make enough for lunch... Then my sister made dinner and enough for lunch... I found myself munching... Oh well. Its a new day and I can work on my self control.

Pigged out last night at the wedding. It's all Geoff and Shanda's fault, but that BBQ was awesome!!! Marcia and I went for a 1.5 hour bike ride this afternoon. We scouted out the local high school first, but their track is all fenced off. We did find that the PVCC track is open the public though. We plan on doing some jogging there since we can track how far we've gone vs. jogging around the neighborhood.

We will have you all over soon for CUPCAKES!! :)g)

I do have to admit, I'm thrilled with the new cupcake eating technique that was discovered at your wedding. I will never eat a cupcake the old way again!

We just rode our bikes over to the PVCC track. I did 5 laps of some sort of run/jog type of thing. It was pathetic. About 30 minutes of bike riding and 30 minutes of track time.

Oh, and even with the wedding meal pigout, I'm proud to announce I'm under 300 pounds.
