A drunk bus driver pounced on a woman and chewed her face in the latest horrific ‘cannibal attack’.

The victim, named locally as Du, was driving past a bus station in China when the crazed man ran out into the road and stood in front of her car, blocking her way.

The man, named locally as Dong, then allegedly climbed onto the bonnet of Du’s car and started hitting the windscreen as the terrified woman screamed for help.

When she got out of the car and tried to escape, Dong – who is believed to have been drinking heavily during lunch- leapt on top of her and wrestled her to the ground.

Autistic man survives 3-week ordeal in Utah desert

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2012-07-13/autistic-man-survives-utah-desert/56185644/1?csp=34news

DENVER (AP) – An autistic man lived on a few frogs he caught and roots as he wandered for weeks in the remote Escalante Desert of southern Utah until being rescued, emaciated but alive.

The Escalante River carves its way through sandstone landscape on its way to Lake Powell about 40 miles away.

William Martin LaFever, 28, of Colorado Springs, Colo., told rescuers that in addition to the bits of food he scavenged, he drank water from the Escalante River while attempting to walk from Boulder, Utah, to Page, Ariz., a distance of approximately 90 miles or more by the route he appeared to be taking.

The Garfield County Sheriff's Department estimated he had traveled about 40 miles over at least three weeks before he was found Thursday.

"It is some of the most rugged, unforgiving terrain you will find anywhere on Earth, jagged cliffs, stone ledges, sandstone, sagebrush, juniper," sheriff's spokeswoman Becki Bronson said in a telephone interview.

"Where William was hiking, there just isn't anyone out there," she said. "There are no people. There are no towns."

The sheriff's department said it was remarkable that searchers aboard a helicopter were able to find LaFever at all, much less alive.

Deputy Ray Gardner, who had recently completed training in search and rescue operations for people with autism and was aboard the helicopter, said LaFever would not have survived another 24 hours.

Gardner's training in searching for people with autism taught him they are naturally drawn to water, so the helicopter search focused on the Escalante River, the department said.

Man in goat suit spotted among goats

SALT LAKE CITY -- A man spotted dressed in a goat suit among a herd of wild goats in the mountains of northern Utah has wildlife officials worried he could be in danger as hunting season approaches.

Phil Douglass of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said Friday the person is doing nothing illegal, but he worries the so-called "goat man" is unaware of the dangers.

"My very first concern is the person doesn't understand the risks," Douglass said. "Who's to say what could happen."

Douglass said a man hiking Sunday along Ben Lomond peak in the mountains above Ogden, about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, spotted the person dressed like a goat among a herd of real goats. The person provided some blurry photographs to Douglass, who said they did not appear to have been altered.

Wildlife officials now just want to talk to the man so that he is aware of the dangers. There's no telling what his intentions are, Douglass said, but it is believed he could just be an extreme wildlife enthusiast.

"People can be really enthusiastic about wildlife, and people do some pretty out there things in the name of enjoying wildlife. But I've never had a report like this," Douglass said. "There's a saying we have among biologists -- You don't go far enough, you don't get the data. You go too far, you don't go home. The same is true with some wildlife enthusiasts."

Douglass said 60 permits will be issued for goat hunting season in that area, which begins in September. He worries the goat man might be accidentally shot or could be attacked by a real goat.

"They may get agitated. They're territorial. They are, after all, wild animals," he said. "This person puts on a goat suit, he changes the game. But as long as he accepts responsibility, it's not illegal."

Douglass said wildlife officials received an anonymous call on Thursday from an "agitated man" who simply said, "Leave goat man alone. He's done nothing wrong.'"

"I want people to enjoy Utah's wildlife. We live in a really neat place. We have wildlife all around us," Douglass said. "We just want people to be safe."

Coty Creighton spotted the goat man Sunday during his hike. He said he came across the herd, but noticed something odd about one goat that was trailing behind the rest.

"I thought it was a deformed goat," Creighton told the Standard-Examiner of Ogden. "It was clumsy, not nimble."

He said he pulled out binoculars to get a closer look at the herd about 200 yards away and was shocked. The man appeared to be acting like a goat while wearing the crudely made costume, which had fake horns and a cloth mask with cut-out eye holes, Creighton said.

"He was on his hands and knees, crawling along the mountainside," he said. "Something was definitely off with that guy."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/24/fei-lin-penis_n_1699017.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular

Thieves stole a man's penis while he slept, according to police.

Fei Lin, 41, of the Niqiao village near Wenling City, in east China’s Zhejiang province, told police he was asleep when the thieves burst into his room and put a bag over his head, according to CEN/EUROPICS and as reported in the Daily Star.

"They put something over my head and pulled down my trousers and then they ran off," Lin said. "I was so shocked I didn't feel a thing - then I saw I was bleeding and my penis was gone."

Police believe the attackers were jealous lovers of several local women whom Lin was having affairs with, the Austrian Times reported. Lin denied taking part in any infidelity.

Emergency workers and police searched for Lin's anatomy but turned up nothing, according to TNT Magazine. The penis thieves are nowhere to be found, but police said they're looking for the jealous lovers.

I woke up this morning with a bad hangover
And my penis was missing again.
This happens all the time.
It's detachable.

This comes in handy a lot of the time.
I can leave it home, when I think it's gonna get me in trouble,
or I can rent it out, when I don't need it.
But now and then I go to a party, get drunk,
and the next morning I can't for the life of me
remember what I did with it.
First I looked around my apartment, and I couldn't find it.
So I called up the place where the party was,
they hadn't seen it either.
I asked them to check the medicine cabinet
'cause for some reason I leave it there sometimes
But not this time.
So I told them if it pops up to let me know.
I called a few people who were at the party,
but they were no help either.
I was starting to get desperate.
I really don't like being without my penis for too long.
It makes me feel like less of a man,
and I really hate having to sit down every time I take a leak.
After a few hours of searching the house,
and calling everyone I could think of,
I was starting to get very depressed,
so I went to the Kiev, and ate breakfast.
Then, as I walked down Second Avenue towards St. Mark's Place,
where all those people sell used books and other junk on the street,
I saw my penis lying on a blanket
next to a broken toaster oven.
Some guy was selling it.
I had to buy it off him.
He wanted twenty-two bucks, but I talked him down to seventeen.
I took it home, washed it off,
and put it back on. I was happy again. Complete.
People sometimes tell me I should get it permanently attached,
but I don't know.
Even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass,
I like having a detachable penis

Thanks Bob, now I hear it in my head

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/06/mother-drives-with-5-week-old-on-top-of-car/

A Phoenix, Ariz., woman put her 5-week-old baby on top of her car in his car seat and drove away, apparently forgetting he was there, not even noticing when the seat fell off the car and landed in an intersection, police said.

Neighbors discovered the baby on the roadway, still strapped to his safety seat, which was lying on its side. Luckily, the baby was unhurt.

The baby’s mother, 19-year-old Catalina Clouser, who allegedly had been smoking marijuana, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence and child abuse, police said.

“We believe that whatever she was under the influence of was the deciding factor in what did happen to this child and we’re extremely happy that for the baby this turned out well and the baby is going to be OK,” Officer James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Depart said.

Clouser, her boyfriend and their friends had been smoking marijuana earlier in the evening at a nearby park, but the boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of aggravated DUI when they went to a store — with the baby in the car — to get beer, according to police.

Upset that her boyfriend was arrested, police said, Clouser went to a friend’s home and smoked more marijuana.

Clouser left around midnight and apparently put the sleeping baby on the roof of the car and drove off, forgetting he was there, and continued driving after the baby fell off the car, Holmes said.

Leilani Gerlach, a homeowner who lives across from the intersection, notified police after she and another neighbor saw the baby in the car seat on the street.

“We were both rolling our eyes in astonishment that someone could forget their baby,” Gerlach said. “The car seat was turned to the side so anyone passing by wouldn’t be able to tell there was an actual baby inside. Thank god they stopped.”

After police arrived, two people walked up and told them the baby was Clouser’s. As the officers talked to the two, who identified themselves as friends of Clouser and her boyfriend, the young mother drove up, police said.

“ had gotten into her car, set the baby seat on top of the car and forgot that the child was up there. It does not appear that immediately she realized what happened,” Holmes said. “I think that perhaps she got where she was going and realized that she did not have the baby in the car.”

“There was damage to the car seat, it was scraped but there was no damage to the child,” Holmes said.

The baby is now in custody of Child Protective Services.

http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/356653/20120626/zombie-apocalypse-michael-daniel-eat-dog.htm

A man who was high on synthetic marijuana reportedly ate his family dog alive. Just as the "zombie apocalypse" hysteria began to subside, another man in a psychotic meltdown makes national news.

Waco Police Department

Michael Daniel, a Texas man from Waco, was arrested for eating his family's nearly 40-pound pooch, on Monday. He faces felony animal cruelty charges, according to police.

Daniel allegedly was "on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog," according to KWTZ.

After his deranged behavior frightened his neighbors, he turned to his black dog that was sitting on the porch and beat and strangled the dog. When he had sufficiently injured the pup, Daniel began to eat him.

Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton told KWTZ that he "began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of his flesh away."

By the time officers arrived at the scene Daniel had "blood and fur around his mouth," Swanton explained to KXXV......

Colombia nabs 2 who swallowed $40,000 in cash

Posted by AFP on September 15, 2012

This file illustration photo shows stacks of US dollars/AFP
MEDELLIN, Colombia, Sept 15 – Colombia police said ON Friday they have arrested two men who had each ingested about $40,000 before trying to enter the country, in what may be a novel form of money laundering.
The men were detained separately during the past week at the international airport in Colombia’s second city of Medellin and were on flights arriving from Costa Rica, according to security officials here.
In the past, “mules” have used a similar method to secret contraband narcotics out of the country, swallowing packets of drugs worth thousands of dollars for sale in lucrative overseas markets.
But authorities said they were unfamiliar with use of the same technique to sneak cash into the country.
“This type of money laundering activity is new in Colombia,” said Wilson Patino, a regional immigration director based in the state of Antioquia in northwestern Colombia.
The two suspects, a Colombian and a Venezuelan, were described as being about 35 or 40 years old. Both were said to be heavy-set men whose capacious stomachs apparently did not have much difficulty accommodating the wads of illicit currency.
Officials did not immediately provide details about how the cash was recovered, but did describe how one of suspects came to be arrested.
The Colombian man drew the attention of authorities over the weekend, they said, when he appeared to be nervous and agitated while going through airport security.
He was asked to pass through a scanner again, when the X-ray revealed numerous unusual items in the abdominal area. These turned out to be about 40 capsules, each containing $1,000, officials said.
Authorities believe drug traffickers were the authors of the unusual plot, although they have not ruled out the involvement of other organized crime syndicates, possibly those engaged in arms or human trafficking.
Medellin is the home base for various crime networks, including some involved in the country’s flourishing drug trade.

PD: Girl mistaken for skunk, shot by relative in Pennsylvania

FREEDOM, PA - Police say a costumed 9-year-old girl was accidentally shot outside a western Pennsylvania home during a Halloween party by a relative who thought she was a skunk.

New Sewickley Township police say the girl was over a hillside and wearing a black costume and a black hat with a white tassel.

Chief Ronald Leindecker told the Beaver County Times that a male relative mistook her for a skunk and fired a shotgun, hitting her in the shoulder, arm, back and neck Saturday night.

Leindecker told the newspaper that the girl was alert and talking when she was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, about 30 miles away. Her condition was unavailable.

Leindecker says the man hadn't been drinking and he doesn't know whether charges will be filed. New Sewickley police said Sunday that decision will be made in a few days.

A New York City police officer who allegedly planned to kidnap, cook and eat as many 100 women has been arrested following a joint NYPD and FBI investigation.

Gilberto Valle III, of Forest Hills, Queens, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, according to a federal criminal complaint, as well was using the National Crime Information Center database to access unauthorized data.

The complaint alleges that Valle, 28, exchanged electronic messages with an unnamed coconspirator "about kidnapping, cooking and eating body parts of ."

The complaint alleges that in addition to conspiring to kidnap "Victim 1," he had discussed plans to "kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body parts of a number of women." He had allegedly created computer files pertaining to "at least 100 women and containing at least one photograph of each woman." According to the complaint, he used law enforcement databases to conduct surveillance on potential victims.

In an alleged on-line exchange between Valle and a coconspirator included in the complaint, Valle is quoted saying, "I was thinking of tying her body onto some kind of apparatus . . . cook her over a low heat, keep her alive as long as possible." "I love that she is asleep right now not have the slightest clue of what we have planned," Valle allegedly wrote. "Her days are numbered . . . She does look tasty, doesn't she?"

"You do know if we don't waste any of her, there is nearly 75 lbs of food there," replied the alleged coconspirator, who also allegedly asked Valle, "What's your favorite cut of meat?"

When the alleged coconspirator asked Valle, "How big is your oven?", Valle is alleged to have responded, "Big enough to fit one of these girls if I folded their legs."

"The allegations in the complaint really need no description from us," said FBI Acting Assistant Director Mary E. Galligan. "They speak for themselves. It would be an understatement merely to say Valle's own words and actions were shocking."

Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said the investigation is ongoing. "Gilberto Valle's alleged plans to kidnap women so that they could be raped, tortured, killed, cooked and cannibalized shock the conscience," said Bharara. "This case is all the more disturbing when you consider Valle's position as a New York City police officer and his sworn duty to serve and protect."
