National weather service phoenix az

this hazardous weather outlook is for south-central arizona.

• day one...today and tonight.

No weather hazards are expected at this time.

• days two through seven...friday through wednesday.

A chance for mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms
will develop on friday...mainly east of phoenix...and the chance will
spread westward saturday and continue into the middle of next week.
The best chances for strong thunderstorms will likely be sunday and
monday. The primary weather hazards will be locally heavy rainfall
along with localized flooding of roads and washes...gusty winds in
excess of 45 mph...patchy blowing dust and deadly cloud to ground
lightning.
