So it's been an interesting week with the mud coat on the X.
Still can't get over the amount of smilers just about stacked on top of each other as they pass. I can't help but smile back if I catch them. Sometimes their mouths are just open, sometimes they're trying to help their kid see better, and sometimes they're starting to mouth things like "Holy." I'm surpised some of them didn't wreck as their head followed my vehicle.
I had an older man high five me in the parking lot of Fry's. As I was coming out he was walking in but had stopped next to the X- practically did a walk around on it. When he saw me, I was already next to him. He didn't say anything but shook his head, smiled, and put his hand up in the air for me to five.
Interestingly enough I had a Shiny Jeep with some young high schooler boys pass me and the boy in the back made an interesting face and gave me the finger twice. I would think that maybe that's a compliment now, but the driver they cut off in front of me thought they were insulting him and he gave the finger back and faked like he was going to hit them as they turned. I just smiled in pity as they turned down a speed humped street to go what they probably call "off roadin."
I was always afraid I'd end up in front of a motorcycle cop on the freeway and I would chunk him. I only saw one and he passed me on the street the other way and smiling. I had one cop give me his pointing finger at a red light, but he's a friend of mine.
Oh, and the mud pic went over great with my Xterra forums peeps. 3 people emailed me for the larger size for their desktops :)
But now the dream is over. We'll have two or three pressure washers standing by at Camelback High after church Sunday.
