Update on the table..
a few days ago, this weird gold started to appear.. lol it's crazy. best I can figure is the resin is maybe drawing out sap? I find it hard to believe that there would be any sap left at all in this wood. It's really messing with my mind.. but it looks awesome, so it's all good. I'm having problems with random little spots that won't dry and remain sticky. It worries me for when I do the top coat.. if it doesn't dry, table is ruined and I throw it away. Here it is as of right now... still probably two more thin coats left to do.
