While not NEARLY as good as beards parting seas... I got a new shotgun mic for my DSLR yesterday. Pretty happy with it so far. The native sound on the camera isn't very good. I've had good success with the lapel mic for interview footage, but it's not so good for capturing groups or natural conversation. This mic kit give me a lot of versatility and much better audio, requiring much less post production. yay.
