Laziness gave me frozen watermelon. Didn't want to cover a slice so I stuck it in the freezer. It was awesome to eat later on a summer day.
The internet gave me vodka watermelon. And then I froze that shtuf too. The vodka keeps it from hardening too much in the freezer which worked out well.
It looks way cool this way, but after probing around in the melon hole to open it up for the receiving, it can only take a cup or a little more. I used the vodka bottle cap to seal it and then stuck it in the freezer for 2hrs. Good enough then, but I froz the other half after slicing it up and now you have super terrific happy frozen vodka melon.
If any leaks out onto the plate under it, pour it in a fancy glass and pinky finger up it as it goes down smooth.
