All right. Thanks J for all the effort.

I hope thats not for BCL...

I have been speaking with Black Mesa Ranger District at 928-535-4481. Victoria usually answers and she said there are no fire restrictions for the Lake. I dont know about the area but as for having a camp fire we are good to go. I will double check with them later in the week jsut to be 100% sure, but I know we are ok. Victoria we very excited to be able to tell me the lake was open and there are no fire restrictions.

So yes that does mean that Johnathan will get to do his thing and build the fire for us.

So the guy who posted up a storm about how he can't wait 'till the camping trip isn't going?
Nate? :~

Jared, still thinking of ways to get the stuff down easier?

$40 on Craigslist. Take the covering off and load it up.

Of course my search also yielded:

Not relevant but still cool:

If we ever open our Jeep shop, we could also sell customized wagons. That would be kick arghh

I wonder if any of them come with shocks, that would really help with all of the rocks.
#49
Ok you are RIGHT Michael I did do that but its between going camping with you guys or going to CA with just me and my wife (no kids) I'm going to pick Toni. Its not for sure any of you would put out if I went camping. LOL I only know Jonathan would for sure but now he is getting married and Dana would be there any way.

Bobert's usually our guaranteed put out guy and he's going to Cali this weekend

We could just air the tires down :)

If anyone needs it for the trip, i have a small trailer that works behind the Jeep, not overly "trailable" but can carry a lot and is lightweight.
(See pics below)

I also have a heavier one that is like a small old pickup ped (like 50's), it is heavy duty but would go farther if you were actually wheeling a little and would hold EVERYONES gear but it weighs more too. it is the trailer I picked up to covert to a wheelable unit. (no pics)

Anyway, if any of you want to borrow either of these, you are welcome to use them, just let me know.

Thanks.
We have a couple trucks and the X. We're just looking for easier ways to get the gear down the hiking trail.

So the list looks like this:
Me
Mike
Jonathan
Jared
Jen
Steve

possibly:
Daniel (Jonathan's mentee)
Rose (Jonathan's roommate's girlfriend)

Don't know what happened to the girl K's. Last time I remembered, they all had a blast. Don't get it but I won't push it.

And Jonathan is sure that he can find an offroad type wagon before our trip. Ha, we'll see what he comes up with!

I like the red waggon with the big tires but I want to make something with shocks and disconnects so it dosent tip over on the big rocks.

This is who I have on my list for going camping, let me know if I am wrong.

Mike going up Saturday
Dana going up Saturday
Johnathan going up Saturday
The K's going up ?
Jared going up Sunday
Jen going up Sunday

OK, here is the final answer. I just got off the phone with Linda for the Black Mesa Ranger District and she confirmed that we CAN have a fire this weekend at Bear Canyon Lake.

Reguardless of what any report or website says she gave me a verbal confirmation to burn away.
