Start the cut
#1
With getting an elk tag and wanting to get my walking weight down a bit I am starting up my diet again. There is about 10 of us that are doing an 8 week cut. The goal it to drop 50lbs in the next 8 weeks. That's 6 lbs a week.
I am cutting out soda (redbull is NOT soda) and going back on a real food diet. More meat and greens. I will also be working in more strongman cardio (tire flips, sled push/pull) to my training.

332lbs at weigh in.

Lets get this party started!

Good luck. Prepare to be a crazy person. Dropping that much weight in that short of time can mess with your hormones. But get after it, it's a good challenge.

woot

start tomorrow - its burger night tonight :)

I'm interested. 8 weeks... I can shoot for 20 lbs lost. I'm 228 now, so I'll target 208 by June 9.

I know what you are saying. The last time I did a hard cut it messed me up for a while. This time its more about eating better and tossing in a lot more cardio. The goal is 50 but I think its going to be more around 35.

Been doing more cardio.
Sled push, Med ball, and tire flips are now part of my rest days. I even started looking at doing more cardio training on strongman Saturdays.

I just want to have as many abs as I do chins.

Lol. I had a great late workout today but the breakfast sandwich and donuts I just at might not qualify as post workout food.

Fist official weigh in was tonight at the gym.
327.3 lbs. 5lbs down.
#12
First official weigh in on my home scale.
219 lbs. 9 lbs down first week.

I've been watching not only my caloric intake, but what those calories are. Also, lots of water.

(the first 10 are always the easiest I've found... gets much harder from here)

nice job!

Good stuff guys, keep it up!

Well, I didn't lose any, but I didn't gain any. Considering 4 of the 7 days were spent on the road... I'll take it. (too many corporate dinners and Happy Hour meetings to keep my calories down, LOL).

Weight in: 219lbs
Gain/Loss: 0

It was a bad week. Didn't even bother checking my weight.
Training for the comp and working extra at work just about killed me. Parted the path a few times for burgers with all the good stuff, and some tacos at 10:30 one night... I will be back at it hard starting Sunday

I don't feel so bad, now. thank you, Bob.

Back on the wagon with you!

Nice work!
I will get my weight tonight at the gym. I was at the Doc today and first thing he said was "I see you lost some weight" I'll take that.
