Now we're talking! This is the "DeLisle Commando Carbine". It was originally produced in the UK during WWII and is chambered in 45ACP. The thick barrel is actually an integrated suppressor. When shot, the gun is "movie quiet", due to the large expansion chamber and the closed bolt design. No one will argue that this is NOT one of the finest firearms ever produced. I WANT ONE! When matched with a 230gr subsonic 700fps round, the decibels barely reach 100dB. With full factory 230gr rounds (which are also subsonic @ 980fps) the sound peaks around 140dB. Super quiet! It has been dubbed the "Mother of all silenced weapons". Accurate, no muzzle flash, and carries a deadly 230gr payload.

The original gun was built on the frame of a Lee Enfield rifle chambered in .303 British.. The bolt was modified to feed the 45ACP cartridge, and the magazine well was re-adapted to fit a modified 1911 magazine.

The popularity and nostalgic value was not forgotten. Two companies made replicas of this famous rifle. They redesigned the magazine well to accept standard 1911 unmodified magazines (for convenience). Currently, Valkyrie Arms still produces them, and is available in both suppressed or non-suppressed (replica).

I don't know if it's real or not. But the web says it probably is. It's listed as a Luigi-Franchi Safari-13. Which is a 5 shot .454 casull revolver with a single shot .30-06 barrel below. If you're going safari hunting, I guess you need to bring a whole LOT of gun. :)

I've never heard of it, but it was fun researching it. The only thing I find are photos. No pics of any person actually sporting one, or shooting one.

This is your "not so common" Mosin Nagant 91/30. It's chambered in 7.62x54R and can be purchased at J&G Sales for $129.95

I say "not so common" because it doesn't "look" like a Mosin Magant. That's because it's been converted into a bullpup design. The bullpup stock is made by Center Balanced Systems. They make bullpup stocks for several firearms, and the Mosin Nagant 91/30 is one of them. It never really made any sense to me why anyone would want to spend $300 on a stock for a $130 rifle. Still, it looks cool as hell. If I were to do something like this, It would have to be on a better rifle. :) With that said, the do make one for the Ruger 10/22, the AK47, SKS, Remington 597, Siaga 12ga and more guns coming soon!

This company is located in Phoenix, AZ. I will have to visit them and check them out.

This gun brings back memories... and tears. Not because it HURTS LIKE A MOTHA to shoot, but because of the legal battle that followed the creation of this gun. Look twice, boys. You may not ever see this gun again. I doubt if you will ever see one in person, again. This is the Maadi Griffen .50 BMG Pistol, outfitted with a early version of the Aimpoint dot scope, circa 1990.

The Maadi-Griffin line of firearms was created by a Mesa, AZ resident by the name of Robert W. Stewart, Jr. He created both a single shot rifle and a single shot pistol (pictured) and gave it the name "Maadi-Griffin", in tribute to the powerful mythical creature of ancient Egypt, which is suppose to be a common symbol of Christ's ascension. Cynics referred the Maddi-Griffin rifle as the "Jesus Cannon".

Robert placed ads in various gun publications offering his kits and plans for sale. Well, ATF saw them. ATF came after him. Why? Well, he was a felon and cannot be in possession of firearms. Robert didn't build the guns to sell. He sold the plans, told buyers where they can buy the metals to machine, and sold some parts kits, but never an assembled rifle. Basically an 80% gun. It's perfectly legal for him to sell them. It's perfectly legal for you to build one for personal use. So, why was he pinched? AFT paid him a visit to verify that he didn't have any completed Maadi-Griffins. He didn't. Instead, he had access to 26 other firearms that were found all around his home, including some full-auto Sten gun parts and kits. In 2003, he was found guilty of 6 felony counts and is now vacationing at Club FED.

I would like to take a moment to raise a finger (the middle one) to the boys at ATF, by posting this link. It's the "plans" to build your own Maadi-Griffin .50BMG rifle. :)

So why are there so few of them out there? Well, there is not a few out there. Robert sold a LOT of kits and plans to a LOT of people. ATF got their hands on that list and contacted every buyer, sent them form letters, asking them to confirm they own a possible "illegal" firearm. Yikes! Current owners won't dare mention they own one, or have built one. You will NEVER find one on sale. The risk of selling an "illegal" weapon is too great.

So goes another piece of firearm history. A short lived one. Robert was one of the first to bring an affordable .50BMG rifle to the hands of Americans, and started a .50BMG craze. Many companies profited from the hysteria that was created.

LAR Grizzly sold a rifle that was similar to the Maadi-Griffin rifle. Not many dared to make a production run on a pistol. The market is just not desiring such a toy.

Here's a "spoof" created by Birdman. They are shooting this pistol... but with Nuclear ammo. :)

I will have to say that it's one of those mishmash guns that was crudely assembled using various gun parts. Probably from Iraq.

Sorry for the absence. I've been real busy and finally have a spare moment to reply to these photos. I see this will be a 2 of 2 reply. Let's go!

The above rifle "looks" to be a HK G36 conversion, but the charging handle gives it away. Awhile back some guy on Calguns.Net decided to take inexpensive 22LR rifles, like the Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 795 and work them into some Airsoft shells of some cool guns. Such guns as:

The Marauder
M14 EBR
M249 SAW
Siaga 12
and the ones pictured above, the HK UMP

There was some pretty good dremel work and it ended up looking pretty cool.

The above gun is actually a Marlin 795 22LR.

Ooh! Palm Pistol!

http://www.palmpistol.com/

Originally, Matt Carmel of Constitution Arms, filed to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to have this device registered as a Class 1 Medical Device. The thought was it would be a protective device for senior citizens and disabled Americans.

Basically, this is a palm held pistol. Instead of using an index finger to pull a trigger, this was thumb pressed activated. Surprisingly, the FDA approved it! An uproar ensued and mass publicity put the FDA on the spotlight. A week later, the FDA rescinded the device's registration.

You can read more about it by downloading their PDF: Information/Specification sheet.

As of today, the palm pistol is NOT available for sale. It is considered a pistol (per BATFE), so no NFA registration is required. The pre-production estimate is to manufacture 500 of them. I don't think they are actually being sold at this moment.

I thought we had this one before? Oh well. What you see is a Benelli M2 semi-auto shotgun with an X-Rail 4-barrel magazine tube installed. The Benelli M2 is a FAST action semi-auto. By mating it with a X-Rail magazine system, it now can feed it's hungry nature. I believe this to be a factory offering, since it's designated as the Benelli XM2XI.

RCI XM2XI – Integrated XRAIL System on Benelli® M2

Rounds total: 26 (25+1)
Weight: 9 lbs empty, 11.4 lbs loaded with 26 rounds of birdshot
Length of Barrel on gun: 21"
Overall Length of gun: 42.5"
12 Gauge

A whopping $2,999.00

Put it on your Christmas list, boys. Santa may be generous!

STUMPED! 3 days of wasted time on the internet! Thanks MIKE! Some kind of trench gun. Not Ithica or winchester.
