Labor Day trip... to Moab
#1
attachment

I have been looking for something to do with my summer. Most everything is going to cost me...

Was thinking of doing a scenic run to Moab. Nothing Crazy. The hardest trail would be Hells Revenge.
I was looking a trails that would offer some great views and would still let my truck drive home dent free (fingers crossed)

White rim
Seven mile rim
Top of the world

All of these offer amazing views and seem to be geared to the stock crowd.

The plan:
Leave Thursday the 30th 1pm from the east side
Meet up with the West Siiiiiide at 2pm at at the Cheveron Carefee/17
We will pick up a rider in Flag at NAU and then next stop Moab.

Fuel: Its 490 miles each way to Moab. Fuel should be around $3.60gal. Plan on using a tank in Moab.
Food: You gan pick up all the food you need or want in Moab.

I am definitley interested and would bring the grand. I usually have a birthday thing in flagstaff that weekend, so I may have to head home on Sun instead of Mon.

But its soooo much more fun when you are in the middle of ordering a drink and then from in the cab comes "Do you have any balls?" Ask me how I know... <evil>

Because I have the best girl in the world, She has agreed to make this trip our "honeymoon" because that's the only way we can make this happen. We will go up with everyone on Thursday, and assuming we are all camping together (would be awesome) We will do that, then get a hotel for Monday and Tuesday night, and head home Wednesday. So the sooner we can figure out "living" arrangements for the nights we are all together would be awesome. We can't afford to get a hotel for the entire time, so camping on the cheap is preferred for us.

the tent campground we stayed in last time was pretty nice. Clean showers and grocery store within walking distance

here's my to do before the trip:
pull transfer case. split the case and re-seal everything.
service tranny, fluid and filter.
front control are bushings
CB, or maybe just get a decent handheld.

Sounds good to me, is this something we need to call ahead for or is it first come first serve?
