Love the idea, I"m thinking on the intake in the orange color.... Mike... have a stencil you can give me? :)
#22
Daniel, is this done yet? I think I might finish mine before you. :))
#23
$ is on not finished for another 6 months
#24
oh I assure you I am not the cause of it not being finished yet....

Yes it's true Daniel and/or the shop is not the to blame, my pocketbook is, although originally before I brought the truck in nobody accounted for the unexpected expenses that arose once the old motor was pulled out. It's the classic story of "if I made more and didn't have bills my pile would be finished"

I will pick it up sometime this week, Daniel.

I know your pain Caleb. When the WJ motor got pulled I got the suprise list of parts that included new exhaust manifolds and tranny mount.
#27
Really? For me, swapping tranny's had been quick and painless. I do not know of these delays you are referencing... (sarcasm).

I was going to offer you $1500 again since its still not running but I like you so I will offer you $1501 but only if you deliver it and then make it run... and buy me lunch... oh and fill the gas tank.... Deal? Do it... shake my hand... 3...2... do it... do it now... 1... shake my hand!

;)

$1501!? Dang with an offer like that I'd be a fool to decline! Plus considering I offered you $5 for Project Phoenix you're kindness is unfathomable!

Caleb - get paid up front. ;-)
#31
hahahah yeah, no doubt a much better plan.

Welllll I'll resurrect this thread I guess. Truck now belongs to me, and she needs a lot of love which I intend to give her. With the passing of my last Ram, and learning I am not able to drive my company truck out of state I am forced to fix this truck up as my primary tow rig for trips. I'm picking up a pretty sweet camper shell for it this afternoon and will focus on some key items over the next couple months that will hopefully allow me to tow my JK to Moab in April with no issues. Hopefully.

This is pretty much how she looks now

I need to do steering, trans cooler, oil cooler, and hopefully a track bar and control arms before April. Eventually she'll get all new shocks, all new suspension, and the interior will get fixed up a bit.

Put a camper on it over the weekend I picked up for cheap... amusingly matches the truck remarkably well lol. Also got a new intake for it as the original one is missing. Next month I'll do steering..

Ordered Synergy steering yesterday, and Synergy track bar with conversion bracket.... that should help a ton
#35
Like a new truck!

Yeah.... JUST like that.... lol

Gonna wait on alignment incase I have enough money to buy control arms before Moab. Than the front would be all done minus shocks
#37
Put all new steering and a track bar conversion kit from Synergy on the 'ol girl last week. Tightened everything up real good.. still needs control arms and shocks badly, but that'll be down the road a bit.

Also made a mount for the spare tire so it's not flying around in the back.
