Big red upgrade
#61
red is back home now from a little modification. i had bryant at barbaric, fab a flat belly plate for red and it came out really nice. the stock on was all bent out of shape and i was afraid that it was going to catch and do some real damage. yes this is also the first phase of long arm project. going to try and get it up on the lift saturday to do some painting and also rewire the light underneith so i do not blow any more fuses.

saturday night run is in the works depending on what is coming up for me this weekend

Russ have you seen the bottom of Cecils rig? You should attach another plate that goes all the way from the belly pan to the oil pan. On James rig its freaking crazy nice. It lets you the bottom of your rig with no worrys. Heck he high centered it once and we spun is jueep 180 degrees, and had no worry what so ever to damaging the bottom of his rig. Just a thought.

i will have to check that out. i thought about something to go further also. i may have that done like that when i do the long arm. i am still paranoid after i dinged my oil pan that night out at sycamore but then i was also not built up like i am now. i look at as better to be safe than sorry!

Nice skid. I'm a big fan of belly protection. Worth it's weight in gold the first time you use it.

Looks great Russ but don't forget you need Alan to walk under there and inspect it.

with alan in colorado i waas going to ask you instead. i know you are a little taller but i could lift a little on the corner to get you through. (by the way good alan shot i am slipping i should have had that)

well....
today big red got a couple new shoes. had the rear tires replaced with brand new goodyear mtrs. all i can say right now is wow the difference i already feel with just the back tires done. these things ride nice and are quiet compared to the old wranglers. it is strange to see what tread looks like. as soon as my state returns come in the fronts will be done!
