since i will be working in that area it is also time for new plugs and wires.
#31
just got home from doing the wires, plugs and installing a cold air intake on red. what a difference i can feel a little more power and i will test out the milage when i go out sunday to wickenburg.

i will try to do a write up tonight depending on how long it takes me to fix a friends computer.
#32
:)had a check engine light saying there is a small leak in the gas cap, replaced and drilled a hole to attach platic strap. forgot to clear the code doh!!! will have to do that later
attachment
next was to plugs and wires
attachment
as you can see you have to remove the throttle body to get to the center plugs and since i was installing a cold air intake it was a good idea to do this now
attachment
easy ones first

attachment
with the body off it was easy to finish the job
#33
Sweet deal man! You couldn't have cleared the codes if you had wanted to because I have my scanner with me and the other is locked up :)
#34
the parts and tools ( i know the pics suck, stupid phone!!)
attachment
remove the bolt holding the support and remove front of filter save bolt. if you had a broken clip cut your panduit straps off.
attachment
then disconnect fthe rest from the throttle body and save the rubber hose for later
attachment
remove fuse box from bracket
attachment
now it is time to put together the box that came with the kit

remove bolt on fuse box bracket
attachment
remove bolt on fan mount
attachment
slip box through the brace with the gromet that came with the kit
attachment
box will ine up with the bolt holes you just removed. i added a nut to the third hole to put it on my light i have in the fender. the kit comes with a bolt and nut to attach to this hole.
attachment
connect the platic tube to the rubber tube and reattach to throttle body
attachment
#36
attach to bolts to the box and tube and secure them together.
attachment
attach cone filter and weather stripping around the box
attachment

now attach stickers to jeep and take for a test drive.

overall this is about a 30min install add 15-20 mins if you change plugs and wires. fairly easy enough for one person to do this install. instructions are easy to follow.

Nice Russ! One thing though. How will the intake do the next time you cross the Verde dragging another jeep behind you? lol
