I don't really need help, but if anyone wanted to come over and help, I wouldn't turn you away. I've never done a radiator swap before, so an experienced hand would be appreciated. I'll try to take pictures and put together somewhat of a write-up. My upgrade plans are very similar to this write-up: http://jeephorizons.com/tech/xj_cooling.html

1-23-10 at my house in N. Phoenix. PM me for address and directions if you are interested.

Done all the above as well...

It's not tough, the fitting holding the tranny return line (in the pic below the connection for the lower rad hose) can be a pain sometimes. They make a special tool to remove it, or I've used a cut up piece of a milk jug succesfully. and I never use the drain spout, I always pull the lower hose with a bucket underneath.

I'm just going to cut the line and not run the transmission through the new radiator. Special tool bypass. haha. I have a transmission cooler mounted out front already. (It's running through both now.)
#86
that'd do it. are you installing a temp gauge for the tranny too?

Not immediately, but YES. I plan to install a transmission temperature gauge and a coolant temperature gauge (one in the dash sucks).

BESIDES a mean jazz flute, I also play piano and keyboards, so I rotate into the CCV band periodically as a keyboard player and background dancer during the interpretive dance session... but mostly just piano and keyboard.

#95
i try alan i really do. not sure yet. have to figure out where since there are a lot of closures right now. was thinking butcher jones but vjc had a post that it is closed right now. when i get back from visiting family we will come up with something. any ideas are welcome and me jumping into a lake is not one of them

Well, I was planning on running up to 4peaks again, and then taking 422 as I'm sure there will be quite a bit of snow to play in, But it's a really easy almost boring drive, but I'm sure there will lots of mud/snow to play in... so I dunno? if anyone wants to do that, that was my original plan but i'm down for whatever.

a lot of areas in the tonto area are closed butcher jones 4 peaks etc... i was visiting family at the bolders in sdale and saw a lot of rain to the north. dont know how bad tm got hit today. any ideas for a sunday run in the morning. i was thinking of maybe explores some of table mesa. i know what the gas pipeline was like and it was fun with the new craving in the trails after the storm. it would be interesting to see what the south side of where i turned from looks like. driving homw from friday i did see a few rigs heading in there and then there was the blue one who has the blues now.
