I have not, but I've heard it's a pretty cool trail. Not hard, but beautiful

Cool. I have the Wells Guide to AZ Backroads and 4WD trails and the Backcountry Adventures ARIZONA books and they've got a TON of information on all kinds of trails and I've dog-eared about 30 pages in the one book.....but this MONTANA MOUNTAIN one really sticks out for some reason. And you're right, it's not a difficult trail (I think it's a 4 on a scale of 1-10 in difficulty, but a 9 as far as scenic) but it sounds fun.

a group from the vjc ran it not too long ago and there were some pics in it. they said the same thing it was a fun easy and scenic! i like these types of trips for a change of pace. new river canyon is like that. it is 3-4 hours and everytime i go out is seems to look different. the first time i ran it i got to the end and turned around and ran it backwards.

Thanks Russ. New River Canyon, I'll have to remember that...I'll have to consult the books! *grin* I like trips like that, as I get to be in my Jeep (with no threat of damage) and have my camera in hand....those are some of the best moments!!! Chris loves wheelin' hard, but we also have so much fun just rolling down Apache Trail out past Tortilla Flat taking pictures.
