I think there'll be room, so let us know.

Don't forget to get your tube for this trip ($4 at Walmart).
Also for the float/jump/hike section of the trip, you'll want a pair of shorts and shoes. A bag of some type will be helpful so you can throw a couple water bottles and snacks in for the float/hike. I have a waterproof one, but it's not necessary esp if you're just bringing wettable items.

Water: We'll have a water purifier on hand, so you can pack light on water. If you just bring a couple bottles you can refill them and be set. Camping is on the creek so we'll have water for boiling and everything else.

We can organize a little better when we meet at Alan's. That way every guy won't be packing a latern, stove, etc. No tents allowed, but we already have the tarps, so you won't need extra. You may be asked to strap an extra item to your backpack.

Rememember the plan is to leave at 2:00pm from Alan's.. So far, we should be good on vehicles.

I always have room for your, brother. I think it will be you, me, and Geoff in my rig, so we can take one more comfortable. (Those XJ's are awefully roomy, you know. LOL)

Oh dear. The questions you people have been ask/pm/tm'ing regarding Manmping:

Can I bring my rifle?

What do otters taste like?

Can we make new names for ourselves?

Are clothes required for the creek?

Should we bring medical supplies?

I only have a ruler

Which gun holster should I bring?

Should I bring an extra gun for someone?

Have you ever been to a turkish prison?

No problem man. Hope to see you in the morning :)
If you do come up try to be there early. In the morn we'll be waking and heading downstream with the tubes by 8am. We'll return to camp around 3pm
PM Bob for directions

Good deal man :)

Went to Cabela's last night with Special J. He picked one up there that I wanted but didn't want to spend on yet.
Brand was Eureka and most of them weighed about 2lb 3oz and stuffed up into a 12"x6"-ish bag. About $70.
I like getting a 40+ for regular camping and a nice mummy for lower.

My regular one is huge, but like I said, short on cash to drop for a new one, although I am jealous of his sack size

Don't see why not. Mine still worked in the canyon.

I have a Walmart Coleman 40 degree bag that rolls up to a manageable size. I think the main issue will be the size of your pack. I'm going to use a hunting pack that is more suitable for a day trip rather than a weekend of camping.

EDIT: Went to Sportman's Warehouse last night and couldn't pass up a pack I saw. Teton Sports Scout 3400. I don't think it's as big of a name brand like North Face but it's a nice $50 upgrade from what I was planning on using.
