Mark this time and date. I will no longer visit that forum. D - U - N DONE!!!
Since getting involved with offroading and ham radio, I have done nothing but spend all my time promoting both hobbies and doing everything possible to help others. Volunteering for cleanups, attending land use meetings, trip leader for runs and weekend excursions, first aid classes, survival classes, search and rescue, CB and ham radio assistance and classes, etc. I believe every group should be able to relax, get off topic, and have fun, but the scale that the VJC does is ridiculous. For every post off topic post I make, I try to balance that with helpful and informational on topic posts also.
The only reason I've stuck around with the VJC is the exposure to the large amount of members in the Ham Radio and Search and Rescue sections. It's not worth it to me anymore. I refuse to support that forum by even a visit.
With that said... I'm going camping this weekend.
