Update...
Cleaned out the garage and put the M101 trailer into a storage unit, got the roof rack off and got her into the garage.

Got the "rock sliders" :eyeroll: off.
The tranny & TC are out, replaced the rear main seal (THAT was a huge pain) The only thing left to do is turn the flywheel and buy a new clutch (2weeks out)

The long arm mounts are on the subframe, bolted & welded all I need to do is install them.
After seeing how well Alan's sliders held up I went that route & bought some from AJ, so I have those to install as well.

Ill get some pictures up with in the next few days

got a little done tonight...
got both lower control arms off
#31
Coolio, man.

I was re-reading the thread and the paint options... I'm thinking I'm eventually headed toward black rally stripes. Don't ask me why, I just feel it coming.

Got home & got to work on the XJ...

Cut off the old mounts and finished removing the old lift.
Installed the springs, and arms.
Need to do the brake lines tmro.

#33
Well today was semi productive...

Thanks to Alan for the the phone support (needed to know how his trac bar was mounted)
So got the trac bar mounted, Brake lines & shocks installed.
Then made sure everything was torqued & lock tighted.
Only thing really left is a new clutch & then the sliders & some other misc parts that Ill get from the junk yard in the next few days.

Good deal Paul.
Glad the progress is moving well :cool)
#35
Way cool!
#36
Well the lift is done, tires are on but looks LOW in the front (sporting the stink bug look) :eyeroll:

So might toss in the old spacers to level off the front.
Tranny output shaft seal came in today so once thats changed out I can put the TC onto the trans.
Still have the flywheel to turn & need to buy a clutch too, then sliders.

Also Dan Simpson from CCV asked me if they could use my XJ on an EDGE EVENT 8|
He needs an anchor point for a part of the challenge, so hope Im able to get done and help!
