Everything in me rear looks ok, just tryin to re-gear but a HUGE thanks for the offer (BTW what kind of rear is it?)

As for the slider... :)g) I was thinking of some 1/4" tube steel, yes I know its kinda over kill BUT this would also serve the future plans for the exo cage.

Well after a few days of thinking... (yeah I know scary)
I did decide to go with the Axle I got from Jeff (Thanks again man... I mean THANKS!)
Turns out this Axle is a 29 spline unlike the one under me XJ this only a 27 spline.

So I got it oppend up & cleaned it out, Ill also have to pull the new bearings I just installed in the old axle to the newer one.

So far, I have the carrier complete & Im working on the pre-load / back lash of the pinion.

SO heres a few pics of the progress...

Clean housing

Missing shock mount (I have some plans here :)g) )

27 & 29 spline comparsion

Pinion gear comparson

Setting the pinion bearings

Some progress.

SWEET Sc00b.

I got sucked into March Madness, then my Razorbacks lost and I went into a depressed tail spin the rest of the day. Missed taking the dog to the groomer, missed coming to see you, missed the gear install... I have a problem and I need to seek help.

March Madness is upon me. Please pray.

- I really am sorry i missed coming by today. It was after 6 when i really kind of came back to reality. Jen was miffed I missed the dog appointment too... what can I say. Sorry man. Pics are great and I'm glad your boy got to get dirty, too. It's good for him! :)=)

Yeah sure did... and all this time I thought COOL spare shafts :)g)
turns out there 29 8|

Better to find out this way then on the trail.
NOW the hunt is on again for spare shafts, but this time 29 spline.

Also plan to pick up some sweet shock mounts from Absolute on my way home

Keep up the hard work and you'll be on the trail in no time!

OK an update...

KRAKER from the NAXJA board has my axle.
He called last week looking for a thrust washer as he was having a hard time getting the crush sleve to compress, So I called Joe.
He confirmed you just gotta apply a whole lotta torque to crush it.
So Kraker ended up using big ole impact (close to 1000lb) <-- so he said)
But I had forgot to give him the adjuster locks, so I dropped them off tonight.
He said so far things look good and I should have some good news with in a few days :)g)

Im still up in the air on the front, from my understanding its easier to do than the chry. 8.25 BUT if the funds are there, Ill take it to Joe. less down time & less worries.

Sucks you've been down so long.
