OK... update. Not doing Sedona on Sunday, but we (as a family) are going to Prescott with a group and doing a Ghost town tour! Here are the details of that trip:
Jim Steward has gratiously offered to guide us on a very interesting ghost
town tour Southwest of Prescott to Stanton, Octave and Weaver, with a
courtesy stop on the way in Wilhoit to meet up with the Clark and Adams
families on their minature (dwarf) goat ranches, and ending with a side trip
to Rich hill where an abundance of gold nuggets was found lying on the
surface in 1847, starting a large gold rush to the area. There is much to
be seen on this tour including great people and animals, early cemeteries,
remains of 1800's buildings (Weaver still has some standing) and, of course,
some beautiful country.
We will assemble at 0930 at Basha's parking lot in Frontier Village on SR-69
(1 traffic light towards Prescott VALLEY from the Casino up on the hill, on
the other side of the highway) and depart promptly at 1000 hours. We will
proceed West on Montezuma (Whiskey Row) on SR-89 to Kirkland Jct. and down
White Spar Road to our destinations. We will RETURN through Skull Valley
via Iron Springs Road. There may be time for a side trip from Kirkland
Junction through Walnut Grove to Wagoner and return to Kirkland Jct - not
sure yet as to the time required.
If you have CAJ clothing please wear it.
See you then.

So, if anyone wants to join us on this Ghost Town trip (not designed for wheelin', but still cool, none the less), feel free to meet up on Sunday morning!
