Its fixed... Sorta.

The exhaust is fixed. The check eng light is out. The rear end is… just bad. The drive shaft vibes loosened the pinion nut to the point that it was finger loose. The rear end is filled with bearing shavings. Joe is going to drive it and see if I need a new one or if I can get away with it for a little while.
This sucks.

Hmm, at least part of it is working okay.

Was the loose pinion nut the cause of the noises you had in the rear end?

If you want to go full width I have a free 8.8 sitting on my side yard that you can have

Well glad the front end is being more cooperative.
Let us know about the back

So I spent some time with Joe this morning. It was good to talk with him. We talked about the needs of my heep and the cost of making it a true trail rig. We talked about the clicking in the rear. It’s a locker thing… again. I keep melting the cable. The bering needs to be replaces so I will need to pull the rear apart again. I am thinking that it may be better if I pull the OX and sell it so I can slap in a lockright.
Im going to be ditching the rear track bar for a stock unit. Anyone need an adjustable track bar?

I guess the good news is that the problem isn’t as bad as I thought. The bad news is that its going to still cost me some money and time…
