A little about my rig and some pics
#1
I figured I told everyone about myself so I will post up some about my rig and some pics.

My Jeep was bought for me while I was deployed my wife chased down a guy on base to ask him about the Jeep he was driving that had a for sale sign in the window. He told her it was British speck and we wouldn't want to take it back to the states. Well later on that day he shows up with a Jeep which belonged to him he said it was not originally for sale but for a reasonable price he could let it go. This all happened in like early Dec of 2006. Well to my surprise Christmas eve I get some pics of my new Christmas Present, and that is how it all began.

Pic when my wife bought it

It was sitting on some 33/10.5/15 BFG A/Ts with a budget boost 2.5" lift. It was a great start since it was already regeared to 4.10 front and rear. Even though I only have a dana turdy five in the rear:sad:
However it also had Banks tube headers and exhaust which sounds great.

But it being a Jeep and also my dream vehicle since I was kid I started buying things with it. Expecially with all of the incentive money I made on Deployment. I found a great deal on some BFG 33/12.5/15 M/T 5 for $600 from a British guy that went up to 35s after only a 1000 miles on the others. Also I now have a RE superflex 3.5" lift which is great for the minor wheeling I do here in England. Those are the major changes I have done but still working on a few others. Ok enough talk here are the pics enjoy.

Sorry for the poser pics but I don't have any on this computer with it after the lift and tires dirty.

I have an SYE kit sittin in the shed with a Tom woods custom drive shaft but haven't worked up enough nerve to start takeing apart my Transfer case. Maybe one day I will get it in and get rid of the stupid spacers on my skid.

Very cool! Great present, great wife.
Are there many other good looking/lifted Jeeps out that way?
#3
Oh yeah there are a lot of them most that are in our club here are owned by Military but we do have a huge British group as well and some of them have some impressive Jeeps as well. I was completely surprised to get here and find out that the British guys love wheelin as much as us America guys. They also have some huge Jeep clubs around here. I will post up some pics of the some of the diff rigs in our club.

Wow, that is wild. Memories of Lakenheath!!!

Stationed at Lakenheath England from early 87 to later 90.
Worked at Feltwell but lived in town at Mildonhall and then moved to base housing at Lakenheath. But, for my Job, I traveled to several other bases there!!! Thanks for the flash back!!!

lol wow I actually live in Base housing on Feltwell. I work at Lakenheath but it isn't too far of a drive for me. The only problem is the road leading to Lakenheath from Feltwell is so ruff it jars me to death. Was it bad when you were here.

If you come up the main road to Feltwell from Lakenheath and come in the back way, there is a road that cuts off to the left and goes back thru the "Golf Course", it goes back to a compound style building and there is a target range back there also. That is the PMEL Laboratory, thats where I worked. and then I lived in the BIG dorm over by the fire station on Feltwell after my divorce and worked as the night dorm manager.

As for the road, yea, it was always bad. A gilr that worked for me hit a pheseant on that road down by the tracks. She had a BMW 318i with light gey cloth inside. THe bird tried to jump over and didn't make it cause she was usually doin 90, it sucked it into the open sunroof.....well, all but the head that got snapped off!!! It flailed in the car for several minutes before it died and slung blood everywhere, road got nicknamed "the Bloody Feltwell road"....stupid, but funny...kinda, ok not but the car was real funny!!!!

We used to go out to the Pub in Hockwold as we had friends that lived there, that place was a riot!!
Wow, strange

Yeah thats funny you say that all of the buildins on Feltwell that use to be used as dorms are either office buildings or empty now. Feltwell is pretty much a ghost town. Oh except for the base housing and the Elementery school and junior high school.
