Geo Cache
#1
I thought itd be fun for us to setup individual geo caches and then have a treasure hunt

If each of us set up our own cache, and didnt tell the others where it was, we could have over 20 caches for us to find around the desert

For example, I could set one up out in Lake Pleasant, tell you the GPS coords and give some hints, then you could go find it

What do you think?

See I was thinking that too a while back. You could start people at different points and they could try to get to the one.

Or, it would be easier if each vehicle had one cache with them that they had to drive out to a predetermined (or not) point and drop. Then you wouldn't have to set things up. All vehicles could then drive to the other dropped off cache coordinates. Maybe even have the coordinates texted to the groups once dropped. Group to find them all wins.

Of course unfortunately I think commitment would only come from you and I so it would invariably fail.

would be a fun and easy family activity, nate could get his kids involved too and it would be something J and Jen could since its very low stress/physical level

I think it might be hard to organize all of us to go out at once, but if we just started caches for the club around it could still be fun

I would do it, but I dont have a GPS. and I dont know how too. :(

do you know how to use a compass and a map? Itd make it alot more challenging but we could still get you in the right spot using one

That I can do.

So what scale/area are you thinking about?

could we start small like around town to get a good handle on it? I know you guys have done this before but again I have not. I know the boys would love to do something like this. So count me in.

I know this sounds cheezy but when I was young we used to play ditch-um around Metro Center in our cars and use the CBs as clues to where you were at. Man that was a lot of fun. Again I know it was cheezy but it was still fun.

That's hilarious. I had read about that game but I really only pictured 80yr old small town Kansas men reliving it!

" you got a pretty mouth boy" LOL

You've got to stop with those "pretty mouth, boy" comments... I'm from Arkansas and it makes me homesick... now I have to call my Aunt Mom and see how the family is doing... as far as geo cacheing... I've always wanted to do it, but never had anyone show me how. Jennifer, the kids, and I would be in, if one of you would either post a video or have a short meeting on how exactly to do it (I get the concept of here's the coordinates, now go find it, young man!), but any more details and techniques would really help. By the way, where' my banjo...

Do you know what they use as a pick up line in Arkansas? "Nice Tooth"

Sounds like fun. I know you mentioned about this but is it a thing where everyone is searching at the same time? J doesn't get any weekend days off but does have a Friday off at the end of the month, which I don't work Fridays so that might work.

Do you know what a divorce and a tornado in Arkansas have in common? Either way, someone is going to lose a trailer...

Nane - further proof the toothbrush was created in Arkansas... anywhere else it would be a teethbrush... <Ack ack>
