Jeep wave to crew out East today
#1
I just wanted to thank the crew that was headed out East today (Sat, Sept 1st) and was gassing up where Shea and 60 meet. My son and I were out on that end of town in my old 91 YJ (we are West Valley folks, but if we have legitimate business, they let us in the East Valley... just kidding... they didn't know we were there... ) and we stopped to get a drink while waiting on a guy to see an XJ. After being really nice and humoring us, one of you guys handed us a the card for this site... I spotted the fish in the logo immediately and knew we were there for a reason. The guy with the XJ was a bust, but the trip was really worth it. Thank you and I look forward to getting to know more of you, hitting trials, and sharing the example. Really... great rigs, but even greater people. I appreciated you guys and the conversation my son and I were able to have afterwards...

Very cool.
I was the Xterra guy with a Jeep heart. Sorry your guy was a no show but good to have met you all the same. The Yellow and Green Jeep and I are west siders. Our big brother bob who drives the black Jeep we met up with just can't seem to shake the east valley dark side.
It's cool how sometimes that little fish just happens to leap off the page to some people. Again, glad to have met you and your son.
Good luck with your jeep and your journeys!

Hey there. Thanks for stopping by to say hi. Check the message board for postings of our "up and come" trips. :cool)

you bet!!! We are looking forward to it. I'm trying to drive other folks here too. Love the site, the feel, and each of you being so friendly. I'm in the middle of getting an XJ (not so hot and dusty for the family!), so it'll be a week or two before I'm back out on the trails, but I'll watch the Calendar, buy my stickers (!!!), and see what I can do about getting some of those FANCY T-shirts! (I really do like the graphic, and you can't go wrong with a black shirt, eh!) Thanks again. -a

So your part of the vjc... I was on the 6am run for CK.

Yeah! We had a blast. My son, a friend from work, and his son made a "guy's day" out of it! LOL We were in the 7 AM crew and just really had a great (hot and dusty) time.

Welcome alanzona. How old is your son? I have a 7 and 3 year old boys. They do come out on runs with us they love walking and watching the jeeps. Again welcome.

My son is 9 and my daughter is 6. A Sedona run in a few weeks sounds like a good time. I haven't ridden any of those trails yet and my wife keeps wanting to ride up there, so count us in! Do I just need to watch the Calendar, or will there be a thread posted?

Thats great! I hope you do make it to Sedona we are planing on going too.

Sometimes it disapears on me, does that happen to everyone else too?

I am sorry that I missed you, I was unable to attend this trip and was stuck working all weekend. Welcome, I am excited to meet you and your son on our next trip.

Welcome alanzona. You are at a great site. The people here are really cool and make you feel like you are almost like family. I also have a XJ so look forward to seeing some photos when you get yours. Look forward to meeting you on a run. My jeep is having some small issues I am working on to make it more trail friendly since it is only 2WD. Enjoy the rest of the week
