xterra lifts
#1
MY NEIGHBOR WANTS TO LIFT HIS '99 xterra. IM A TOYOTA GUY, I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT NISSANS ( EXCEPT THEY HAVE WEAK STEERING COMPONENTS ) HE IS THINKING A 3" LIFT MAYBE 1" BODY AND 33'S . WHO MAKES A GOOD WHEELABLE LIFT FOR THESE? ANY BODY MAKE REAR SPRINGS OR JUST DO A ADD-A-LEAF AND SHACKLES? ARE MOST KITS JUST A UPPER ARM, AND NEW TORISOIN BARS IN FRONT? LET ME KNOW ANYTHING TO LOOK FOR, HE HAS ABOUT 1800$ SO I WANT TO GET HIM A GOOD ONE THAT HE CAN BEAT ON A LITTLE

yeah... I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a '99. They weren't out until 2000.

But feel free to check out the forums on xterraownersclub.com for detailed info on aftermarket suspensions. It's where I get all my X knowledge from.

Automotive Customizers

The front, you are correct in that the UCA's are replaced and T-bars are tightened up. The rear you have more options, shackles, AAL, new spring packs, or combos depending on your load and ride preferences. Or you could have a real unstoppable vehicle and SAS it.

On another note, if you are here for actual info and an interest in our excursions and fun that is great and we welcome your interest and questions. But I must tell you if your little stir the pot, troll mocking signature is an indication of your attitude towards us and our beliefs, you will not be taken seriously and will be regarded as hostile.

just wanted to find another group to wheel with, saw a sticker on a geap in scottsdale (yellow with a snorkel:eyeroll: ), thought id check it, seems like you guys wheel, and all your trip reports are trails ive already done, so that was comforting, and yes i do like to stir the pot a little, keeps people on their toes.
if that offends you guys, please let me know. i dont push any beliefs or religions on anybody. if you guys want to preach it and all thats fine with me, stuff like that i dont pay much attention to and im pretty hard to offend because i dont take anything to seriosly... anyways...
back to what subject was orginally about
i got on cal mini's site and ordered a 3" kit, (1000$ i think) also ordered a RB body lift. ill build some sliders like i have on all my junkers. next thing he can go pick out his wheels and tires, just some 33's on simple alum wheels. a little later when his wallet thickens he can do a locker and gears
anyways thanks for the input

The Calmini worked for me. Squeaky as all get out. I'd definitely recommend drilling in some Zerks since they don't come with.

Just wanted to say hi. That'd be my Jeep you saw :cool)

I have zerks installed on my Calmini UCA's the are quiet and seem to work great. Also you will be wanting a new steering set up if you wheel your lifted X, you might want to look into L&P system, it works pretty well for me.
