Sunday Shorts
#1
I can't do it man. I can't sit here in the valley under the AC waiting to see if my internal thermometers will ever get back to a level to where I'm not afraid to wear shorts. I'm going to have to start going on some mini trips.
Said trips must contain greenery, not limited to a shrubbery, but large enough to withstand say a herring chopping or two.
Water is a great thing, I'd like to see some that is not in it's natural AZ habitat of a ribbed plastic bottle- I'm afraid it gives me no pleasure.
Dirt roads are not a bad thing people, sometimes it is us that should give the rocks a break instead of the other way around.
North is the direction I'm talking fellow off-roaders, we don't always need to be going down on Arizona. It couldn't hurt to try a new approach, a new direction.
Overnight isn't a must, but a plus. But if it's just going to be a solo mission with myself, I don't mind sleeping with my X.

If you have suggestions or a desire to accompany, feel free to share. There are no obligations, I'll send you a post card of my journeys.

It'd be okay just to say we've been.

I plan on checking our Rattlesnake Canyon of Stoneman Lake Road as my next destination, then continuing on past Stoneman and going North on the trails.

Oh I know the lake is not worth crap. But the road has Rattlesnake Canyon off the beginning (you can see some pics of people running that in the snow if you search) and then lots of trails on the East end before it hits Mormon. You can run those trails to Navajo Spring and up to the FR that takes you out through Munds Park.

Did you know you can run Seven Springs to Table Mesa all the way up to Dugas, across the Verde and to Fossil Creek
