I thought it would be a great idea for us to show our support for our millitary deployed overseas. I have requested the contact information for a group that is in Iraq. They are the Bravo company brigade combat team. The soldiers are all mechanics and are responsible for keeping vehicles and equipment running
They are asking for:
Tan T-shirts - Size Medium - Large
Green boot socks
New DVD's and music
Truck, harley, offroad magazines
Snacks like beef jerkey or things that stay fresh
Items can be dropped off at

If you can not pick up an item but would like to donate, you can donate via paypal and I will buy an item for them.
Here is a note from the executive officer of the unit:
30 Jun 2007:
"I am the executive officer for the Bravo company "Maddogs" in the first brigade combat team. All of my soldiers are mechanics and spend long hours day and night keeping vehicles and equipment in top running condition. They provide support to a large number of fellow paratroopers from Fort Bragg as well as support to Reserve Units on our FOB, and this is why I am writting on thier behalf. Spending all of thier time solving problems for other people leaves them little time to enjoy themselves, so I am asking for your help send anything that might make thier down time more enjoyable. Again, they are all mechanics so keep that in mind anytime you are sending anything. The lot of them are performance junkies so any magazines or literature about big trucks, fast cars or harley's will be highly requested. Our living conditions are good. We live in tents right now, but will be moving into hard stands that have electricity next month (it runs off 210, but everyone is buying power converters). We have one dining facility and one PX so any snacks will go fast. We have a very young group of paratroopers that range from our youngest private who turned 18 three weeks before we deployed to my first sergant who went to jump school in Fort Benning two months before I was born in 1983. All of use are average build (airborne soldiers run everyday...even out here!) so any tan t-shirts or green boot socks will be medium or large. The biggest request that I have come across when talking to my soldiers are movies and music. Everyone wants to stay current with what is popular in the US, heaven forbid a 19 year old returns home listening to out dated music...what will his friends think? I have been in the army for 19 months and this is my first deployment, but not even a year ago about 70% of this company was deployed to Afganistan with this same unit. Please keep my soldiers in your thoughts and in your prayers. God bless and thank you for taking care of my paratroopers - 1LT Tim C. Sechrist

I thought it would be cool if we could throw in some higherground4x4.com stickers, magnets and calendars for them too
