Official FR98 Write-up




Had a great time. Good job on the driving Nathan and of course everyone else.

Wasted worry on whether it would be too hot for the camping. It felt great.

Woke in the night to a deer that practically came into our camp to take a drink at the lake. I thought Nathan was making junk up 'till my eyes adjusted.

Water was perfect swimwise and we caught 6 big catfish.

River crossing was fine and not too much lower than last time at the cross. That water was chilly and a great end to a hot drive down the powerline trail.

Trip was pretty all inclusive with the rocky start, flexy trail to the lake, and off camber tippiness up the line trail.

Did I mention it was a FULL MOON :)

Looks like you guys had some fun, and the night shot of Bartlett is a great shot most people don't get to see. Thanks for sharing and hope to make the next one.

That was not night its was about 5am the sun was just coming up and the Moon was still out it looked so cool.

It was when the ante...er... deer came through and woke Nathan up.

Too bad I caught so many catfish. I sure outdid both of ya. I even got that one in his back. I'm the pro ;) Glad it wasn't warm at night. It turned out to be a great trip. Next time we'll remember the sunscreen though.

He just told me that they are getting sliders and bigger tires with a lift.

Thanks for inviting us out to the night run, we had a blast! I think Becky is really into off-roading now, we're gonna get the sliders put on the car so we can get into more areas. Here's four pictures I took that came out OK.

Nate that was a morning photo. Looks like I need to get out there more in the morning. I bet it was hard to get up and going after seeing that shot. Would have wanted to set and soak it in. Hopefully there will be another one soon so I can get out and meet everyone and see some of the finest rigs in AZ. Happy 4th of July and let me know when I should send some money over to you.
