The mother remarries, the prodigal brother returns, and we..

...Go on a Jeep trip

Sorry ahead of time, this trip is for the HG4x4 core Wranglerites only.

Reason being:
(Those of you aforementioned have already been told what's going down)
Dana and I's madre is getting married, so our estranged younger brother must actually visit for the festivities. So since he'll be here, it's important that he see how we roll. Long story short: He was led to believe a good while back that AZ had nothing to offer so he stayed in (Louisiana) with his father.

So it's your duty as my friend, I mean club member to make this a shweet trip.

Wedding: Saturday April 21st
Trip: Sunday 22nd - Monday 23rd

Tentative trip planning is we go see Black Snake Mambo first (I kid)
then head towards Payson.

We tried to pick a trip that would be multi faceted so the agenda includes:
Pyeatt Draw
Caving
Camping
Rock, Dirt, Mud
A corn-fed harvest mouse, a hooker, a nun, a Flemish peasant woman, whips, chains, whistles yo-yo's, a circus midget. My grandmother riding by on a bicycle give me the finger, and a duck, etc.

Py draw will be day 1 so if you have some sort of previously planned multi-miled back packing trip (Offroadaz) and positively couldn't make it up Sun, Monday would be meet up day.

More details as plans unfurl.

Like we have discussed, as long as it is on Sunday Monday and I only have to miss one day of work I am in. I can not speak for NJEN due to the fact that her brother is getting married the next weekend. I know he has to take a day or 2 off to help with that so I am not sure if she can go.
#3
Yeah we're pushing for the Sun-Mon to accomodate everyone even though Stoop hasn't even got his plane tickets yet.

Going to add the other cave in the area to our agenda too.
#4
Definite Sun/Mon trip. Gonna get the bro's girl on a plane at 8:25 Sun morn .
#5
Goooood, get her out of here. I am getting excited even though April is a very busy month for me.
#6
Ok so I talked to my boss to see what he said and he wasn't feeling it. I already asked off every Friday in April and only work Mond and Wed so to take off a Mon would mean to work one day that week. He's not really liking the idea of me taking so much time off on my second week of work there. Sorry guys. I think I'll have to catch up with ya next time.

Sorry you won't be there.

Dana ordered brother's and girlfriend's plane tickets last night. She leaves early Sun morn so we'll drop her off an hour and a half early and go straight to trails : )
#8
Somebody caved and had to go ahead and get the tickets huh?
#9
Ha, yeah. Supposedly Andrew's computer wasn't working so I did the work for them.... but somehow left out the other option for his girl to leave later (she would have gotten home too late anyway) Can't wait for the trip and that their plans are more solid now!
#10
Is Andrew excited about our little adventrue, or does he not know yet?
#11
Eh, he's kinda been taught to be emotionless about most stuff, so there's really no way to tell.

Me, I keep thinking of the trip more than the visit or the marriage : ) Is that wrong?

Update so far:

Sunday: Py Draw
Drivers:
Jared
Dana
Bob

Passengers:
Me
Jonathan
Bob's Friend

Monday: Caves and various trails
Drivers:
Jared
Dana
Chris

Passengers:
Me
Jonathan

Looks like Chris will be tagging in for Bobert Sunday night.
Cool that B can go since he hasn't been on the Draw.
And Chris hasn't been to the caves so it all works out.

Dana and I are trying to figure out what to do with him on Tues. We already took that day off too so we might just stay up after our big trip and hit Tonto Bridge or Bear Canyon. We'll see.

I see that you have you and Johnathan as passangers for the weekend but you keep forgetting that we are doing this so your brother can go. Wouldnt he be considered as a passanger or are you just using him as an excuse to go?
#13
An excuse
#14
Thats what I figured.

It's kinda like a class reunion though, where subversly you feel like you need to impress the people from the past. You know like, even though we were the reject children, and didn't get things handed to us and didn't join a fraternity, and that whole popped collar/indulgence scene that we turned out more than okay and have even better bonded friendships we didn't have to pay dues for and even though we don't live in "sportsman's paradise" we still have kick ace ways to keep our life entertaining, etc. Hypothetically speaking of course.

I am super excited bout the trip. It'll be nice to take some time off work and camp/cave offroad. Ok, it'll be nice to see my "other half" since it's been two years about.... and Mike hasn't seen him in five or six years!!!!!!
