anyone know much about MetalCloak control arms?
#1
I'm finally shopping for front upper control arms to replace mine. I customized them last time out and they're really flexy but I'm told they're not safe.

I looked at RE Super Flex (that's what I have for lowers) and JKS J-Flex which look good too. While I was searching, I came across MetalCloak. The main difference is that they don't use a johnny-joint on the flex end, they have a Duroflex bushing which looks like a johnny joint suspended in a flexy rubber bushing.

I kinda want to try it to see if it's any good, but don't want to find out it's stiff and limits flex. you all know the dirty jeep short arms can't afford to lose any travel.

So any experiecne or thoughts?

scroll down in this link to see what they say about the Duroflex bushing:

I've heard nothing but good things about MC. I know a couple guys who are running their 3.5 lifts on their JKs and love them. When I do arms on my Jeep it'll be between Metal Cloak and Rock Krawler.

Thanks Daniel. That's helpful, I'll get the metalcloak ones and let you know how they are.

I got a call from metalcloak today letting me know they got my order and that I should get the arms sometime next week. Nice touch.

I got my Rubicon Express control arms at 4wheelonline and so far I have no complaints. I know that others are happy with Currie and Metalcloak.
