Posting photos easily
#1
I don't know how to keep up with doing it on forums anymore.
Flickr's code works well and resizes ok (unless you're Avis)

The majority of people's regular photos are on FB and instagram.

On another forum, it easy to post grammed photos to their board. You copy the img code (using this right click extension) and then post with the IMG button that adds the same tag here but it lets you change the size:

Note that f you resort to linking to FB photos, their URL changes eventually. Even Daniel's Feb 20th 2017 shakedown thread has no photos in it now. Should we nuke threads like that since it's cricket content?

I feel like there has to be some easy solution to this by now.

dang, didn't know linking photos from FB would cause them to go away so soon... that's sad. I always did that cause it was just so much easier than anything else.

I'll open a flicker account

It's ok Daniel, I only recently learned about FB links too.

I understand forums are becoming antiquated because of social media. I just imagine there has to be an easier way to share on here. I mean I have some sav, but even I am head scratching on it and hardly posting as well.

eh. I like forums. social media annoys me. That's why I always try to keep this one going with what little bit I do in life lol Going forward, I'll make sure to always link stuff from flickr.

Next summer I'll have a good thread going and a ton of pictures... :D

So. I'm trying to devise the simplest way to post images. Especially those taken on your phone. For me would just be doing the copy/paste of the image address from instagram IF the forum allowed you to chose the size so it's not 1080x1080.

Until that happens, Instagram phone people. Your phone saves your grams to your phone in the Instagram folder. With the free Imgur app (good for hosting regular images), you can upload a group of them at once

Then you can select size and one click copy the code to paste into your forum thread

If you are just quick sharing something you already have on the phone or "processed" in instagram this may be the quick solution for you.
It would work for just regular photos on your phone too.

If you are going for straight photography, I'd still recommend the Flickr route. There looks to be less compression seen when resized.

Different camera's have different aspect ratios. Then you have square insta's (not to mention they look like ass bigger than 500x500).
I'm trying to figure out the incentively easiest way for people to multi-photo resized post here.
