Anyone doing anything? Anyone want to? Been working on the jeep and it running good. Would love to get out of town with the Jeep. I would be down to take the truck if its something like Mojave Road or some other overland type trail.

I'm down for something.

We could get "recreation permits" for the Apache Reservation and go explore that area...? Pretty incredible scenery over in that area and tons of 2 tracks to follow.

That the one near the turn off for tuba city? 95a?
If so Im down but its cash, in person, and you need to know what roads you are going to be on. The canyon that we were going to camp next to was amazing.

nah, Apache is where Cibicue is. White mountains area. But that other place sounds pretty cool as too. If it's too much of a hassle to get permission and if we have to say all the roads we'll be on it may not worth it. Damn Indians are worse than mexico..

So, I always see the Campbells posting pictures of them exploring in the Young area... lots of water crossings, etc. Cherry Creek road is on my list of roads to finish but I know you said there was a massive boulder blocking the road.... Not sure if it's possible to move with winches or if not we can go in from the Young area? Again.. I"m game for whatever, just throwing out ideas!

There are, I've never explored the area before.

Town is nothing great to see.... good place to eat called "Antlers" but that's about it.

San Carlos Apache is also where "my" waterfalls are. I've camped at them and car camped on Blue Creek. Yes on permits. Just say hiking, not fishing.
Cherry Creek road sucks but it is a means to an end if you are going to hike down to Cherry Creek to the falls and solitude. You could car camp at PB Ranch but there may be people there that weekend. Yes you can access all that via the Young side.
I love the Sierra Ancha mountains for its lack of people, great wildlife and usual car camp spots along Workman or Reynolds Creek. You would need to check on burn areas involved since last year.
I've also driven from Jake's Corner up to Fred Pantry Cabin and Young on the Coffeepot trail. Del Shay Cabin (less to look at) is also in that area.
