Shake Down Sat the 9th
#1
I need a shake down run and Matt needs to try towing the XJ up some hills. What better way to test and tune that to head over to Payette Draw and have some fun

Plan is to meet up in Fountain Hills gas station and roll on up to Payson.

Meet at the gas station at 3:30ish (give or take depending on traffic and slow tow)

Camp out next to the trail. Wheel on Sunday and drive home

If need to come up late or on Sunday, that's a good link for the trail and we should be camped just on the other side of the wash at the start of the trail.

FYI for cooking and fun: Fires nor discharging firearms are allowed in Tonto NF at this time. No smoking unless inside a closed vehicle as well...

Meh, I can't have my hotdogs... ;)

I just stopped by Greg's and had him add some more weld to the upper radiator support. One day I'm going to have to have Kredit make me something new for that.

No chance of it being lifted by Sat is there... I hate the no fire rules

Good news!

Just curious.. Does anyone have intentions of eating dinner in town on the way up, or driving back in after? Or are we camp stoving it? Doesnt matter to me just want to plan accordingly

Im good either way. I was going to bring a stove but am open to anything

I will probably head into town for dinner. We usually eat at the "we toss em they're awesome " pizza place.

Trying to get Hailee to make us homemade banana choc chip muffins for breakfast. Pancake mix on the griddle is backup.

If she makes a double batch, we can split them and I can bring some up on Sunday... you know, so you don't eat them all at once... you know... for safety.
