I want to pick up an evap cooler to use in the garage and outside on the patio for the kids. Theres a ton of them online and was curious if anyone had experience with any of em?

Some of the nicer units in the $500 range have a 15gallon or so tub you can store water in, instead of hooking it to a hose. Some of the cheaper ones it only holds a couple of gallons, but im not sure how long that would last

also, the airflow CFM seems to be a big selling and price feature. But im not sure if Id care if it blew at 1,000 CFM or 2,000 CFM if its in my garage.

portacool and honeywell seem to be 2 of the more popular brands with portacool being pretty expensive for their cheapest models
