finding a unicorn
#1
I may need to find a truck sooner than I was thinking. Today the truck didnt want to go in gear after sitting at a stop light. I thought it was a one time thing. Not so much. Took the truck to lunch and its starting to slip. Going to put some no slip in and see if that helps.
I will be looing for a newer truck. 4x4 and lower miles. This is the unicorn part... I want to stay around 7k.

Wish me luck

Good luck. You can get an xj for less than that. :))

Do you care about brand? I assume full size? Gas or Diesel?

Brand isnt that big of a deal. Needs to be 4x4 with AC.
Went out looking this weekend and found a few trucks and 2 Jeeps... They were in my price range if I wanted to add anothe 10-13K to my budget. Its crazy how much trucks have gone up.

looking out of state too? if you want to roadtrip to pick something up Im in

Nope not looking out of state at this time.
The more that I think and pray about it the more I dont want a payment. I worked hard to get away from having one. Even a 7k loan is still more debt I dont want.
Unless the truck dies I dont think I will be getting anything newer till I can pay cash for it.

Time to do a little work and see if i can keep this pos on the road a bit longer

Good for you, I know that's hard.

If you do end up in a bind and need something to drive for a bit, the Dodge is available.. seriously. I haven't driven it in almost 3 weeks. lol

Good choices Bob. Cost to fix is more than likely cheaper than a replacement vehicle. Even a rebuilt trans in that would be about 1k.
