Rear rack and air compressor
#1
We got the rear rack mounted and built a bracket to hold the air compressor tank since it did not fit underneath the jeep like I thought it would. The rack holds my spare tire and two gas cans, the silver tank at the top is for the compressor. We will make a bracket underneath the rack for the Hi-Lift jack. The hi-lift normally mounts where I put the tank but I wanted that up out of harms way. I still have to paint some of the parts, but it is always a work in progress!!!

The tank is not plumbed in yet, hence the holes. I will use heavy pro-grade 3/8" id PVC rubber air line run along the frame. I am also running a tube to the front for a front QD connector, the rear QD will be on the tank. The compressor is also a constant duty cycle ViAir so I can run air tools.!!!!!!!

that looks pretty good! Are you going to pick up some hood locks to help protect the compressor from thieves?

Little farther today. Took part of it back apart for paint, modded and added the third brake light back on. Did all the plumbing except the interior gage. I still have to wire it in tho.

The tank in hammered gray with the sticker added. I only had florescent orange hose tho. There is a quick disconnect on the rear bumper but I need to put an angle connector on it and lay it sideways so the hose won't kink like it is now.

Front QD connection and the under fender connection for it.

Underhood plumbing includes pressure switch mounted on the back of the pump then one line going to the front and one going down to the frame and out to the back.

That does look good.

Great job on the work!
