Leaving Thursday early-mid afternoon and driving up to Silverton area. Going to screw around Friday on some easy trails, then hang out for the festival Saturday and come home Sunday morning. All are welcome :)

That does sound awesome, but we have plans already. :(

Going to be in CA for HS church camp. But, the plan is to do CO the 4th week.
Oh look what I found

nice! I can't wait. We are planning on camping in the same area as last time.. what we do Friday will just depend on what's open. It'll be a short trip for the drive I'm doing, but gotta take what I can get.

My plan is to take the car and park it. Maybe burn it and never come back.

So what's your itinerary?

Thursday - Leave as early as possible. I have meetings in the morning but I'm hoping I can leave right after that (10-11ish)

Friday - Kinda up in the air depending on if any passes open up before then or not. I know I can get to American Basin, and I want to hit up Clear lake. I've heard Black Bear is doable in a fullsize, but I doubt it'll be open anyways so I'm not counting on it. But really, i'm up for anything.. if all I do is spend a day in American Basin, i'll be happy.

Saturday - Festival in Silverton. Parade is at 1030, followed by stuff till the fireworks at 930 assuming it doesn't rain. There was talk of me taking the CJ up and running it in the parade, and driving it out to American Basin for some pictures... but due to the tight time frame I"m working with and wanting to get there ASAP I decided it wasn't worth pulling it all the way there.

Sunday - Get up early and drive home.

Cool. I just watched Alan's Scooby FF up to Clear Lake to try to remember what the first stretch before the first switchback was like. We took it in Bob's truck when he dropped us off at the upper trailhead. It saves some hiking elevation and I'd like to park up there with the car if possible to save the legs a little again.

Pretty sure we're doing Ice Lakes Basin and Blue Lakes each for a couple nights. Then maybe something else for another.

Looking forward to the pictures you get from those hikes!

Just you and Noel going up?
#14
Yep. Both are ones HG hikers did in '11.
I guess I can retake some pics :)

Make sure you get some good shots of flowers :p

That's Bob's thing. I'm going to bring old blurry lens cameras and take substandard pics only, then upload them with my phone to instagram.
#17
But... of flowers, right? or just people?
#18
Just people! And maybe hotel ballroom lights if I get lost :)
