Snorkel for the Unlimited!!
#1
I was given a snorkel as a gift, it is on order and will be here tuesday!!!

No the question, I have been reading the install for Dana's jeep and the addendum for Jared's. On the breather hoses for the t-case and axles, if you run them inside you take a chance on smelly gear-lube fumes, could you drill a small hole in the snorkel tube or in the airbox and put in a fitting to fit the hose so your breathers get or exhaust air thru the snorkel.

The one thing that I was concerned with was creating a suction and drawing up gear lube but was not sure, hence, the question!

i would take all of my breathers and consolidate them into one and run it up along the snorkle. As for vacume, i dont think there is enough to pull fluid from your systems but any overfill will bleed off into the breather lines causing mixing. also liquids do flow at extreme angles, so run each line kinda high

Good point.

The ORFab tire/can rack goes on tomorrow and we are going to try and mount a 2.5 gallon air tank to the bottom of it for the viair OBA. Next week will be the snorkel and then next mont it is on to death valley!

i dont know how you feel about drilling on new stuff but if all the welds on your rack/tire carrier are good you can use it as an air tank. or mabee the bumperif its the one i am picturing in my head. but i could be totaly wrong, who knows haha
