Skatchkins wrote:Jimmy if you have an extra cot I'd be appreciative to borrow plus them I won't hang out in yours as much.

If he doesn't, I have a couple.

I do have an extra cot. If you want it earlier to take up with you, we can meet up or I can drop it off to you.

I will be heading up with my dads trailer.

From what I've heard, I should be able to park it in the main pits with everyone inside Hammertown. So For those of you who are looking to crash there, we'll all be together.

Chelcee and Katie will be driving up Sunday to hang out for the week. So, we'll have a Tahoe for running around to town and whatnot. And if we sweet talk Chelcee, she may go get stuff for us :)

That being said, I'll have a spot in the trailer for a cot to be set up easily (Jimmy called it), and room for one (maybe two) people to crash on the floor. I don't expect much time to be spent in there anyways unless we're sleeping so if it's cramped, it's all good.

Cool. Thanks Daniel. I cleared with Andrew that camper in main and told him it was full. You and crew, Bob on table bed, Jimmy on cot, Mike on cot. I'll have my camper with me, Scott, and Ginger Mike. Chris is in his JK. We should all have warm spots to sleep. The ESAB trailer is overflow and has Shawn Hurst and Noah from the UK in it. It can fit two more if we end up needing it.

That's good news. I was afraid the desert wolves would get me if I was out there all alone. :)

I will be headed out as a lone wolf Wednesday after work! Alan let me know monies I need to bring with me to cover wristband expenses. Dumb question but does a media band allow you certain access privilages? Also count me in for pits

a.) AWESOME! So excited you can make it.

b.) Funny you should mention the media band. I'll give you a call later tonight.

(and to answer your question, yes, the media band allows access to the media tent (heat, wifi, and Monsters), PLUS full access to the live race course. Pit Band allows access to the pit areas, travel to and from the pits, as well as Hammertown, but if a Pit Band is on the live race course, it could be construed as "outside assistance" and you're setting yourself up for DQ.)

If Bob and I chase you around while your pre-running, does that count? lol

Dude, I want a media band, too! Seriously! ;)

You just lost your pit crew Alan, we all just want to take pictures and drink monster lol
#32
Lol. I can do both. :)

I'm going to laugh (and share that I can sneak Monsters out of the media tent like I did Red Bulls for Bob last year).

I'm also going to be serious about it was difficult and I used my relationship credit to even get four approved and one is going to have to stay in main pit anyway and take pictures of ESAB support trailer stuff (since one of my four spots is officially listed as an ESAB media spot). Pit bands are awesome. They will get you anywhere you want to go, and if that doesn't work, I'll bluff our way into stuff.

Let's get through the LROR team meeting on the 24th first to see what resources we have for the race (you know, the reason we are there in the first place and the reason I got media credentials since one slot is LROR team media, one spot is HG4x4 - since "they" covered 4 races this year and I got "them" in as accredited media for 2015..., and one spot is Willo Off Road Media in the UK that we are reporting for) and we'll go from there. :-)

Everyone is going to have a good time. I promise. It's all good.

On a side note, I'm on my 2nd interview for DirtSport magazine as their off road reporter, so if I can land that, I'll free up another media spot... officially.

I'm just giving you a hard time :) I am thankful and excited for the opportunity to be a part of a badass race team. That's way better then monsters! And redbull :p

:-)

Like Daniel said, were just joking around. But if you do sneak out free Monsters, I call dibs.

Free Monsters are sooooo happening.

For those headed to the lakebed (info from Pirate4x4):

"...just finished programming the FM transmitter for this year's 2015 Nitto King of the Hammers! When you make the turn on to Boone Road, spin your FM radio dial over to 102.5 FM. All the audio from the JumboTron will be broadcast on 102.5 which should include any videos that are playing throughout the day.
You can listen to live play by play, updates, and stats in real time from just about anywhere in sight of Hammertown!"
