Red Creek
#1
I'm itching to run a trail with everyone.. Mike finally has 4x4 again, Chris has Saturdays off, Bobs truck still kinda runs, Matt has the shiny Jeep, Jimmy has a jeep, Caleb has a truck if I can convince him onto the board, and Alan... well, he needs a new front end, but I"m sure he can still do it. And me, well I have the GMC... big tires and a V8, I'll be fine :)

during the summer, I try and plan every outing based off ending up at water. Red Creek was awesome the last time we did it, and I'd love doing it again. Anyone up for it? Any weekend after the BBQ at Matts is good for me.

Also, with this being said.. if anyone knows of another group friendly run that ends up at water I"m game for anything.

Red Creek was tight in my truck and your GMC is longer than the Dodge. I do like that trail and its fun to get to the water after a run. Im down to wheel... I just dont know if the truck is. :)

You did it when your truck was stick height and stock tires, right?

Reason I ask is because if I get some new tires for the blue Tahoe, even though it's stock height.. it's shorter in length. But, it's also lower to the ground. I figured with the GMC my ground clearance would be my saving grace in making it. I can't remember any real tight spots except for the one where Mike got out to take pictures of us coming up the step between the tree and a dirt/rock bank.. Don't want to tear my DD up, but I just want to wheel so badly.. lol

There was a few spots that I had to 9 point turn it and still thought I was going to get the bed.

Yeah I was on stock tires.

Tahoe might be a better choice then... thinking about picking up some TreadWright tires for it.

Red Creek is something I would do. Disclaimer is that it's not any cooler than these parts... and not a great place to be when it monsoons.
#12
I know it's not cooler, but that's why ending up at the river is awesome.

Do you know of any other trails that end up, or at some point involve water? I'm open for anything but want to keep it fairly easy so people aren't tearing up rigs. And, so I can still go :) lol

I've heard Log Corral has become really easy but a lot more chance of lots of people, and it's not a very long or pretty trail.

Other than Pyatte Draw I don't know of anything up north... but, now that I mention it I do remember something about a camping trip up there after your X was finished. I've run that trail to the waterfall in the Dodge... pretty sure the GMC would be fine due to 35s and the lift
