everything else seems solid in there. I'm wondering if these were just cheap gears, it seems like material failure (not that I know anything about metallurgy).

this morning i'm listing out prices, pros and cons of re-gearing and locking, or building an 8.8.

Maybe call andrew up and get his take on it.. I would guess the cheapest option would be to just buy a new ring gear. Not sure if it's a no no to replace one gear and not the rest though.

May be cheaper to just do an 8.8
