99 GMC Misfire
#1
So my uncle has a 99 GMC truck. 4.8 I believe. It goes into safe mode after a few miles. Runs bad. After sitting a day or two it doesnt want to start. I have a chance to pick it up cheap. Just not sure I want to take it to a mechanic and pay the money to find out if something really bad. Any ideas?
It would be a daily driver stock 2 wheel drive

Code shows multiple misfires. Per the all knowing google it could be the injection going out. I think it could be worth it for the price.

If it's cheap enough... Everything's fixable :) I believe it has spider injectors, same as the Tahoe. They aren't the greatest, and do go bad. But it's not he end of the world to replace them. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor... Is it throwing any other codes?

Soooo who is up for a fun game of "pull the bed to replace the fuel pump because GM is awesome!" ???

Think I am going to try that first and if that doesnt fix it I will take it to a shop.
